In 1787, Catherine the Great signed the historical decree, which made Crimea a part of Russia. It started a new page in<br />
the history of the peninsula and not a drop of blood was spilled. Decades later, the Romanovs transformed the former<br />
pirates’ nest and slave market into an oasis filled with charming churches, unique palaces and wineries. The Black Sea<br />
fleet courageously fought many battles making Crimea a proud land of heroes.<br />
