Just eight kilometres long and three kilometres wide, Matemo Island is
a magical destination, with pristine beaches enveloped by an azure sea,
offset by the distinctive silhouette of thousands of palm trees. In the
surrounding waters - part of the protected Quirmbas Archipelago National
Park - an astounding abundance of marine life can been seen, including
turtles, dolphins, Potato groupers, Moray eels and large pelagics. The
coral reefs teem with a variety of reef fishes and nudibranches and offshore,
massive schools of various game-fish are commonly encountered. Your
thatched air-conditioned chalet is situated within metres of the beach and
