Just eight kilometres long and three kilometres wide, Matemo Island is<br />
a magical destination, with pristine beaches enveloped by an azure sea,<br />
offset by the distinctive silhouette of thousands of palm trees. In the<br />
surrounding waters - part of the protected Quirmbas Archipelago National<br />
Park - an astounding abundance of marine life can been seen, including<br />
turtles, dolphins, Potato groupers, Moray eels and large pelagics. The<br />
coral reefs teem with a variety of reef f<strong>ish</strong>es and nudibranches and offshore,<br />
massive schools of various game-f<strong>ish</strong> are commonly encountered. Your<br />
thatched air-conditioned chalet is situated within metres of the beach and<br />
