Our voluntourism-focused emPOWER Trips are a natural extension of two extremely
popular and successful Viridian global initiatives: Our Amazon Preservation Project,
which has already planted 5,000 trees in deforested regions, and our 7 Continents
in 7 Years (7C7Y) journeys, which have made life brighter, healthier and more
economically sustainable for energy-poor and off-grid communities around the world.
Since 2011, working in close cooperation with experienced project partners who
have strong ties to our host communities, we’ve already been able to:
Help reforest threatened regions
of Brazil, Indonesia and Peru.
We’ll be continuing our work in the
Amazon rainforest of Peru in the
coming years.
Facilitate access to clean drinking
water in Indonesia. Coming soon:
a water project in America’s
Southwest, serving families in the
Navajo Nation.
