Dear Friends and Family of the North
Side Wesleyan Holiness Church:
We greet you in the precious name of
Jesus and trust that this newsletter will
find you and your family in good health
enjoying the blessings of our Father in
Heaven.
We also would like to take this opportunity
to wish for you all a prosperous and
blessed New Year and may you experience
the fullness of God in even greater
measure than before.
The purpose of this newsletter is to make
you aware of a special project that our
Church is about to embark upon, namely,
the construction of our new church
building.
Reasons for this decision:
i) The present facility was constructed
around 1941. While it is still
functioning on the surface, we are
aware of structural concerns and
the fact that it is only a matter of
time when the building will cost
more to maintain than it would be
to construct a new facility.
ii) The Sunday school classrooms,
built in the early 80s require extensive
work if they are to remain
functioning properly.
iii) The church has a small septic for
the toilets in the classrooms which
does not take much to overflow,
since there is no drain system or
deep well connected to it.
iv) The rat bats have taken over
the ceiling of the church and the
classrooms, and in spite of many
attempts to get rid of them they
still keep coming back creating a
very unpleasant odor in the building
most of the time.
v) With the continued growth and
development of our children and
youth ministry, it is essential that
we expand our facilities in order
to effectively grow these ministries.
a.The youth ministry has added
to its portfolio a drama; creative
worship and puppet ministry
and would like to expand that

& development...
to video productions and other
forms of ministry utilizing their
technological skills within the Sunday
service and in their separate
areas of ministry.
b. Kidz Klubhouse is in need of its
own space in order for them to
grow alongside the youth ministry.
c. Children’s Church requires
much more space and proper
facilities to operate effectively
on Sundays.
d. Vacation Bible School always
require additional space that we
do not presently have.
vi) The Sunday School is in dire need
of better classroom facilities in order
to promote and enhance the teaching
and learning of the scriptures.
vii) The church on a whole desires
to better serve its members and the
community at large. Presently, most
of our major functions have to be carried
out at the North Side Craddock
Ebanks Civic Centre. These functions
would include funerals, weddings,
conventions, concerts and other large
gatherings. We would like to be able
to have our own facility to support
these occasions.
We could go on and on with the reasons
why it is essential for us to begin this work
now, but I believe in light of the above, you
understand. We owe it to the present and
future generations to construct a facility
that will enable them to reach more people
and do more for Christ than we have
been able to do.
The new Sanctuary and Sunday School
classrooms will cover a total area of 8,350
square feet and is estimated to cost 1 million
Cayman Islands dollars, or 1.2 million
United States dollars to construct. We,
therefore, ask that you first of all pray for
us as we commence this project. Secondly,
we ask that you pass this information on to
as many people as you may know whom
you think would be interested in assisting
us in some way. Thirdly, we ask that, if at
all possible, you too offer us your support

in whatever way you can whether it is a
financial donation or lending a helping
hand during the construction phase. Every
little bit helps.
Finally, we are including in this letter
some images of the present structure
to give you some idea of what we have
now and what the new structure will look
like. Any financial contributions should
be made payable to North Side Pilgrim
Holiness Church
