Greek Pottery
Ancient Greek pottery has
survived for thousands of
years. The Greek pottery
allows archaeologists to use
pottery fragments and study
the Greek history.
Pottery was painted with
abstract designs and realistic
murals.
For Greeks
literature,especially
poetry and drama,
helped explain the past
and the present.
Literature.
Literature was often
accompanied by
music and served as
entertainment.
Greek life was dominated by
religion, meaning religious people
ran the country.
It is not at all surprising that the
Greek temples were biggest and most
beautiful.
Government
Geography of
the region
helped shape
the government
and culture of
Greece.
By law:
-Only men could be
full citizens.
The majority of
Greek states were
governed by groups
of rich land owners.
-Women couldn't hold
public office or vote.
- Slaves could not be
citizens.

Inventions-. Greeks enjoyed to study the world and decided to make
practical inventions, such as watermill, alarm clock, crane and central
heating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Biology-Greeks adore studying the world including living organism.
important
for every civilization, and still
is.
Mythology
Medusa-Medusa was not always a monster, according
to the myth Medusa was once a ravishing woman.
Every man in Greece wanted to possess her, but she
could not get married she was a priestess of Athena .
Athena is a virgin goddess, the servants in her temple
had to be and stay virginal. When she was raped by the
god of the sea, that caused Athena to curse Medusa
without warning. Medusa claws desperately at her face
and her face cracks and her hair becomes snakes.
Because of the curse Medusa could not have any
interactions with anyone else, if someone were to look
her in the eye they would turn to stone.
