Guitar Components
& Elements
01
01. Aqua Timber (AT)
We are proud to have been industry pioneers in
the application of this fantastic wood for instrument
building. Its advantages are scientifically
verifiable. More importantly, we have found its
effects on the instrument are obvious to the musician
when compared and tested. Sugi guitars
uses this rarest of woods in the necks of its detachable
DS models exclusively, as well as laminated
in our NB bass necks with other woods
02. Fret Work
On all the Sugi guitars and basses the fret edges
are round shaped and polished for ultimate
comfort and playability. This finish style is World
Standard of High End instruments now.
02
03
03. Assembling and Wiring
Extreme care is taken during the assembly of the
wiring circuit. No excess wires allowed and wires
are cleanly routed to the correct location. All instruments
are assembled using Audio grade
conductive paint.
04
04. Hand Shaped Neck
Unlike modern trends in instrument building using CNC
technology, Sugi prides itself on Hand Shaping each
and every instruments we make. The high quality end
result is obvious as soon as you play.
