OUR SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL
For more than 60 years, NCJW has the reputation as the foremost
progressive US Jewish women’s organization dedicated to women’s
empowerment and gender equality in Israel.
Israel Granting Program: NCJW awards grants to organizations and
programs that address women’s rights, education, social justice, human
trafficking and domestic violence. Through Yad B’Yad (Hand in Hand with
Israel), NCJW provides grants for literacy childhood development and
enrichment for disadvantaged children and families.
Advocacy and Coalition Work: NCJW is a member of numerous coalitions
that aim to ensure the rights and well being of Israeli women, children and
families. We are involved in social action and advocacy issues in the areas of
poverty, hunger, tolerance, co-existence, the promotion of equal citizenship
for all Israelis and women’s empowerment.
Commitment to Education: Our two most notable programs are the NCJW
Women and Gender Studies Program at Tel Aviv University and
the NCJW Research Institute for Innovation in
Education (RIFIE) at Hebrew University.
