please skip immediately to the trade show layout on the next page,
find your favorite companies and start shopping. They are all going to
have amazing deals along with some new releases waiting for you.
If you are still reading this, you might already be missing out.
Now if you are picking this up again after all your shopping and
mingling is done, you should start thinking about the competition.
Seating inside the park is first come, first served. So if you are
wanting a prime spot in the bleachers or have another spot scoped
out, you may want to start waiting in line. Doors open to the park at
3:00 PM, so be ready.
Finally, if all of that is taken care of let me take this time to thank you.
The Bitter Cold Showdown is one of the premiere rollerblading
events in the world because of you. For 11 years, the Bitter Cold
Showdown has grown bigger and stronger because of all the support
from the rollerblading community. It has become a standard within
the industry where every major manufacturer is represented at the
trade show. It is the spot to unveil new products to the industry. It has
become the contest to both attend and win.
The Bitter Cold Showdown is unlike any other event because of your
support.
Thank you.
J.C. Rowe - What’s your favorite part about the competition?
Chris Haffey - The vibe. This is one contest where there’s no pressure, it’s actually a lot
of fun. It’s organized so that you’re still motivated when it’s your turn to skate. When it
gets to my heat, I’m ready to go because I know what’s going on.
J.C. - Who’s energy did you feed off the most?
Chris - It’s hard to say because it was just back-to-back-to-back tricks. I saw Jon Bolino
killing it, Brian Aragon, Soichiro Kanashima, Shima. I always get pumped to watch
Shima skate. It was just a good vibe. I wouldn’t have wanted to be a judge for this
competition.
J.C. - Thanks for your time, Chris.
Nick Uhas - Jon, you skated amazing all day. How do you feel right now?
Jon Bolino - I feel great. I’m glad that my really good friend Chris Haffey just won a lot
of money, Aragon got third and everyone killed it. It was a great competition. Everyone
that I wanted to see get up there, got up there.
Nick - What was your favorite trick that you landed?
Jon - I guess the last one, I got carried off the course.
Nick - Thanks for talking with us, Jon.
