SUSAN SADOLIN<br />
Owner<br />
Susan Sadolin started Shores in 2007. Susan has 30 years of experience in the boat industry.<br />
First through the family business “Elvstrom Sails” - one of the world leaders in sails for sailboats.<br />
Then 20 years designing and producing sports-wear and technical clothing for Yachting.<br />
In 2007, she recognized the growing demand for high quality design furniture on outdoor<br />
areas on cruise ships. It was at this time that balconies and outer decks became some of the<br />
most desired areas on the cruise ships.<br />
Susan was the fist one to bring IMO outdoor furniture to the cruise market. She has successfully<br />
solved a wide range of the challenges for furniture & upholstery on the sea where salt,<br />
sun, wear & tear sets high demands and combined this with beautiful Scandinavian design.<br />
Today Susan is still responsible for the new design and development and is based in Shores<br />
European headquarter selling both to the hotel & cruise industry.<br />

a combined 60 years of experience in hospitality, mainly in the cruise industry.<br />

WICKER<br />
We have developed the strongest wicker possible for the hospitality market. The wickers<br />
are carefully hand-made and woven with fibers made from toxic-free, fully-dyed recyclable<br />
polyethylene materials, and we have have found the exact thickness that is strong<br />
enough to be unbreakable but thin enough to be bend around the frames.<br />
MESH<br />
The Serge Ferrari range of meshes benefit from unique properties with a coating up to 15<br />
times thicker than traditional meshes; unparalleled resistance to distortion in the diagonal<br />
direction; and an excellent consistency of the weave structure.<br />
PP Line<br />
Our PP rope product is a polypropylene yarn strand with an inner core of PE strand. The PP<br />
yarn is made with UV stabilizers and is weather resistant and easy to clean. The strand inside<br />
the yarn have a “spring back action” that will maintain a comfortable basis for the woven seat.<br />
FABRICS<br />
Bella-Dura ® surpasses any other performance fabrics in the marketplace today. Rather<br />
than relying on harmful coatings or finishes, Bella-Dura ® performance is packed into the<br />
very fiber, resulting in remarkable textiles that are ideal for any design application.<br />
POLY STONE<br />
Poly Stone granules are a polyester compound, incorporating pure alumina tri-hydrate<br />
into the particle. Poly Stone is UV resistant, fire resistant, chemical and stain resistant.<br />
Rust corrosion<br />
Our furniture is specialised towards<br />
marine and is corrosion-free.<br />
Mold, mildew and bacteria<br />
All materials are resistent to bacteria<br />
when treated properly.<br />
ALUWOOD<br />
Aluwood puts together wood and advantages of aluminium. ALUWOOD ® marine pro<br />
ducts are type approved according to European Union Marine Equipment Directive<br />
(MED) 96/98/EC.<br />
Easy to clean<br />
All materials have the “teflon effect” for dirt<br />
and can easily be cleaned with a water hose.<br />
No sagging of the mesh<br />
Serge Ferrari mesh is guaranteed to<br />
prevent sagging, even after many years.<br />
FOAM<br />
Quick Dry Foam (QDF) is a unique performance outdoor foam able to withstand<br />
years of usage without losing form or comfort and has large, open pores permitting the<br />
maximum water drainage and air circulation allowing for quick usage after getting wet<br />
or even saturated.<br />

Cushions and pillows are extremely important for the comfort of the cruise<br />
and hotels guests. How they are made makes a big differences We have<br />
learned what it takes to make cushions for cruise ships and hotels and the<br />
3step process is a standard of Shores quality.<br />
Result: Dry cushions with longer life cycle, mildew and fungus protection,<br />
lower maintenance. Own in-house upholstery and cushion production in<br />
Miami, Italy or China.<br />

Quick Dry Foam (QDF) is a unique performance outdoor foam produced by a special<br />
process.. Reticulated foam has large, open pores permitting the maximum water drainage<br />
and air circulation allowing for quick usage after getting wet or even saturated. QDF<br />
is the first and only reticulated foam to meet IMO certifications. In addition QDF uses<br />
anti –microbial protection, which prohibits growth of common molds and fungus inside<br />
the cushions even when left outdoors for extended periods of time. QDF is the highest<br />
density foam available in the reticulated foam family, averaging 2.0 to 2.2 pounds per<br />
cubic foot, where our competitors peak at 1.8 pounds per cubic foot. Most important,<br />
because of the foam’s high resiliency it is able to withstand years of usage without losing<br />
form or comfort.<br />
Shores also offers a full line of high quality custom made pillows and cushions for any<br />
application within their area of expertise; from dining chairs and large sectionals to<br />
drapery and wall coverings. SOD also offers a variety of fixation systems for cushions<br />
allowing them to be safely secured to the furniture. Our products are perfected with<br />
the finest UV yarn and YKK zippers. And we are able to assure competitive pricing and<br />
