Eyo Masquerade `` ASIWAJU ``<br />
Eyo masquerade is known for Lagos as the only masquerade no other community or<br />
state has the right to stage unlike the Egungun masquerade that can be found in other<br />
Yoruba states.<br />
Asiwaju as the name depicts ``The Leader`` In the hierarchy of Eyo is a force to reckon<br />
with,highly respected. He delares the festival open and performs all the rituals and<br />
prayer for the king and people as well.<br />
His costume is unique, he wears handwoven cloth called ALARI while all other eyos parade<br />
in brilliant white costume.<br />
