Megalopolis

Megalopolis may offer a very broad relationship network. However everyone
is usually subject to specific network of relationships,

network of relationships, like the privileged social classes, ethnic groups, religious
sects and revolutionary groups,
Segregation, and the reality of separate worlds,
“With the segregation the individual is connected with another network of
relationships, but the two networks remain clearly separated. He leads a
double life, “living at the same time in several different contiguous, but otherwise
widely separated worlds.” (Hannerz, 258).
