Mill of Gryffe Road, Bridge of Weir -
Deterioration
There have already been several concerns raised by local residents who are
attempting to navigate this now utterly ruined stretch of Mill of Gryffe Road
(Section running from bollards at intersection of Kilmacolm Road and Mill of
Gryffe Road down to intersection at Mimosa Road). The road is walked by many
young and elderly people and has now become a real hazard.
The driving and walking of this road is now at a critical and dangerous stage. The
building of the housing estate on the site of the old leather factory has obviously
increased traffi c fl ow and subsequent erosion.
The Road has been on the decline for years and is now impossible to drive without
having to bump into many deep pot holes. There is no way to snake around them
any longer, while the damage to tyres and suspension is becoming costly.
Residents are hoping to raise awareness among the local community and get
some kind of action group in motion to get this road fi xed and fi t for purpose.
