Over the past decade, SOUND CITY has been a focal point for<br />
celebrating one of Liverpool’s greatest cultural exports: music.<br />
In doing so, the festival has animated areas right across the<br />
city, helping to create new stories that enrich Liverpool’s worldrenowned<br />
musical legacy. Past and present will be in perfect<br />
unison in <strong>2017</strong> as <strong>Sound</strong> <strong>City</strong> once again brings the city’s historic<br />
docklands alive with music, thereby uniting two great pillars of<br />
Liverpool history. This year’s new site at Clarence Dock has the<br />
vantage point of the River Mersey – the Gateway to the Atlantic –<br />
in front of it and the city sprawl behind it: we can’t think of a better<br />
location to celebrate great music.
