Out of the 23 starters, only two riders were unable to complete the ride, when John’s Power Pak cut<br />

out <strong>and</strong> refused to restart, after just half a mile’s running, <strong>and</strong> Glynn’s Triumph’s kickstart turned<br />

into a fl ailing machine, <strong>and</strong>, though it could have been c<strong>la</strong>ssed as part of the country scene, was<br />

deemed too dangerous to continue, still, better luck, next time.<br />
