Summit Hill to present ‘Review of Revues’

The Summit Hill Junior
High School music department
is to present its 10th annual
Musical Revue on Friday
and Saturday, May 5 and
6. In honor of the 10th year,
the show will feature a “Review
of the Revues,” with
highlights from each of the
nine previous years’ shows.
The Musical Revue includes
seventh- and eighthgraders
who are involved in
the music department. Students
perform onstage, in the
pit band, as emcees and as
members of the stage, light
and sound crews. Students are
also instrumental in planning
choreography and with adding
their personal touches to
the revue. The cast is divided
into three groups for rehearsals,
each with specific parts of
the show to cover. There are
also three parts of the show
where the entire cast will join
together, such as in the opening
and closing reviews of
2008 and 2016. Each of these
three groups meets once a
week for four weeks before
coming together for tech week
the first week of May.
The two performances will
begin at 7 p.m. and be held
in the cafetorium at Summit
Hill Junior High. There is no
admission charge. A slideshow
will loop for the audience
to watch while awaiting
the start of the show. It is to
feature photos of cast members
from each of the nine
previous revues.
