Administer and manage the MICT Security Local Area Network, MICT CCTV System & Access Control Systems & programs<br />

at the AICC Compound. Responsible for the day-to-day management, administration and maintenance of the United Nations<br />

Security Access control and CCTV surveillance system consisting of multi-vendor Hardware and enterprise software<br />

Applications to include;<br />

o Security Network System/Cisco Local Area Network,<br />

o Security access control and event management system with PACsecurnet server,<br />

o Video management system/ Cisco Operation manager and Network attached storage/ EMC and Promise System.<br />

Administered tasks that included using suggested management tools, monitoring tools and benchmarking tools, to monitor<br />

the system, servers, network and end-point element (such as cameras and door readers), and advice the contracted vendor<br />

of any underlying problems. Administered using commonly measured metrics such as response time, availability and<br />

uptime, Status request failures, such as when a connection cannot be established, or a server ‘times-out’, or the document<br />

or message cannot be retrieved, usually produce an action from the monitoring system.<br />

Analyzed asset management strategies as the ‘Security Asset Custodian’ representative and would monitor current security<br />

equipment and ensures minimum equipment “technical-specification” requirements are purchased (met), maintained<br />

and/or deployed in accordance with laid out UN policies.<br />

Controlled, manage and coordinates the issuance of identity cards, created and manage customized ‘Clearance Levels’,<br />

controlled entry-control methods (such as time specification and event triggers), managed access door groups, as<br />

appropriate and where required.<br />

Enforced implementation of time services and servers so that the CCTV systems and recordings were in sync with real<br />

time and the recording servers<br />

Enhanced forensics and Investigative evidence from the security-system relating to incidences involving UN personnel,<br />

project personnel or any other resident personnel by means of CCTV footage retrieval or providing access control event<br />

audit reports and video analytics. Generated forensic video footage and reports as required for investigative purposes as<br />

required by Security Management<br />

Prioritized the installation process of the Access Control and CCTV installations, by collecting and sharing the<br />

requirements, highlighting the key milestones schedules, so that installation would be complete on schedule and all the<br />

deliverables met on time.<br />

Streamlined the use and operation of the Security Systems (Badging, ACS and CCTV Systems) to reduce workload<br />

operations, increase in performance and efficiency so as the trained personnel are effective and productive.<br />

Assisted with the project implementation, installation and delivery of the Access Control and CCTV installation projects,<br />

and assisted with the supervision of the implementation, installation and commissioning phase of the project in UNMICT<br />

Laki Laki Complex.as follows;<br />

o Coordinated the progress, schedule and scopes of works of the installations of the Access Control System and<br />

CCTV System. The security systems in MICT are autonomous stand-alone systems supplied by multiple vendors.<br />

The Access Control System (ACS) is installed by KK Security Ltd. and the Surveillance System (CCTV) is<br />

installed by Benson Security Ltd<br />

o Recommended installation methods, including directing the type of finishing of installation, mounting or erecting<br />

of the Access Control Elements such as readers, controllers, magnets and cameras.<br />

o Established and documented rules and guidelines for the system installation, system operation, system<br />

management, standard operating procedures (SOP), preliminary integration and acceptance tests procedures<br />

(ATP), for the implementation of the Access Control System and CCTV System installation.<br />

o Developed templates and designs for the Badging and Enrollment System for the new Access Control System<br />

that was implemented in MICT offices in Laki Laki.<br />

o Trained, developed and supervised key personnel to operate and ensure the highest standard of compliance in the<br />

operation and use of the Access Control, Barging & Enrolment Station, and CCTV Software applications and<br />

other Security assets.<br />

o Reviewed all naming schemas (Door Names, Camera Names) and lables before implementation to avoid<br />

overlapping, ambiguity and redundancy.<br />

Achieved the identification of the Security (Access Control and CCTV) needs of the organization from within the organization,<br />

and continually adapted the system to the organizational on growing needs.<br />

Completed the void gap created by multi-autonomous security systems by acting as the mediator and liaison with all the<br />

vendors, ICTS, Facilities and Security and understanding the technical aspects of the underlying autonomous stand-alone<br />
