Our family features have shown the diverse makeup

This month’s featured family is the McCartneys. A chance meeting at an aunt’s house
has led to 25 years of marriage and the raising of two great kids who really appreciate
growing up in Granby.
Also, this month in our Saluting Our First Responders feature, we profile Deputy
Chief Tim Weber, a volunteer firefighter with the Lost Acres Fire Department. Each
month we seek to honor the individual men and women who serve as first responders
in town. Thanks to you all.
Now that the weather is getting warmer, it’s time to get out and enjoy the great
outdoors. Check out Granby’s Casual Bikers group in our Events Calendar. They
sponsor wonderful scenic bike rides in surrounding towns and all over Connecticut.
While thinking about getting outdoors, why not take a hike with the family at the
McLean Game Refuge? It’s truly one of Granby’s recreational gems.
