Holders of valid ski passes for the Tauplitz are entitled to use the toll road as well
as the public bus on the Tauplitzalmstraße for free (from a ½ day ski pass to a
season ticket / points cards are charged). Bus and group prices upon request
(Tauplitzalmstraße public bus is not included). Info for the Tauplitzalmstraße toll

The ski train shuttles between the info office – lift – Hotel Hechl
– Kulmhof – train station – info office from 8.35 am to 4.30 pm
(last ride down on the lift). Pleasant for guests who aren’t
staying close to the valley station, and creates more free parking
space and less traffic at the valley station of the quad chair lift –
which means, your skiing fun can begin as soon as you arrive.
Ski pass info
General: Sales outlets for our ski passes are our ticket offices (Tauplitz valley station,
Lawinenstein, Mitterstein, and the toll station in Bad Mitterndorf). We only transport
people with a valid ski pass. The ski pass is an individual ID, which is non-transferrable.
Upon request of our personnel, the holder must present the ski pass for identification
purposes. Subsequent exchange of the pass and/or extension of the validity period
are prohibited. The resale of gift certificates or ski passes is also prohibited. As a
rule, we cannot replace lost ski passes.
Misuse, penalty: Any misuse of the ski pass (including transfer to a third party,
providing a false age, etc.) will result in the confiscation of the ski pass, obligatory
purchase ticket. We also reserve the right to press charges upon suspicion of subreption
of services (§ 149 Austrian penal code StGB) or fraud (§ 146 Austrian penal
code StGB).
Daily slope closures and maintenance: Our ski slopes are closed from 5.00 pm
to 8.00 am. During this time, slope maintenance equipment (some utlizing cable
winches) and snow canons are in use, and avalanche blasting is carried out. Therefore,
use of the ski slopes and touring routes during this time is life-threatening and
prohibited.
Discounts: Discounts are solely available upon presentation of a valid ID (student
ID, disability pass). The following groups have a right to a discount: small children
(children born in 2007 ride for free in the company of parents), children (born in
1997 and younger), youth (born in 1996, 1995, and 1994), students (born in 1987
or later), and passengers with over 60% disability. Discounts for groups over 20 max
upon request.
Injuries and refunds: Only if the ski pass holder has an accident resulting in conside
rable injuries can there be a refund, in which case the ski pass is to be returned
at our ticket office with a physician’s attestation. The days from the issuing of the ski
pass to the return of the ski pass are considered the period of use. If the ski pass is
returned by 10:00 am, that day will not be charged. For family members of the person
injured, there will be no refund. Early departure, illness, etc. do not constitute
grounds for a refund.
Low season: If the validity of the ski pass extends into the low season, we charge
a mixed price.
Operational shut-downs: Heavy snowfall, acts of nature (avalanche danger, storms,
bad weather, etc.), unforeseen technical defects, and safety reasons entitle us to
shut down facilities or slopes. Shut-downs of this kind will not result in a reduction
of the price or return of a purchased ski pass.
Photo: By purchasing the ski pass, the card holder consents to a photo being taken,
stored, and utilized at card-issuing points and entrances for control purposes in order
to avoid misuse of passes.
Key card use: We issue all ski passes on reusable key cards and charge a € 2 deposit
(not included in the lift price), which will be refunded to the holder of the ski
pass upon return of the undamaged card.

dare in December 1905 – to ski down the infamous
»Lawinen stein«. Countless pioneering achievements followed
and to this day Styria’s ski instructors are trained
on our authentic ski mountains. We are genuinely major

1,650 m, magnificent loop path on the high plateau,
idyllic hut village, cozy huts and inns – 5 km.

Night tobogganing by the Grafenwiesen lift in Tauplitz

floodlit, nighttime toboggan run. From December 25, 2012
