Dear Kathleen,
I think everything is set for the Y.H.A. perforMance
at Hidden Villa. Mikkel seeMed to think all is set for the platforM &
will, I think be getting in touch with e1ther you or Nancy's Mother for
confirMation of the tiMe they want to set up.
I believe they plan to
get there earlyish to set it up, hang around for the lunch, or
whatever, dance, help you & then disappear to help Lyle RaMshaw Move
his piano & return afterwards to disMantle the stage. Mikkel seeMed
to think the stage was plenty strong enough for the clog dancers & that
it was unlikely that they would daMage the surface but I think we had
better-· take a look at their shoes, & perhaps have a saMple dance in a
corner to be sure!
We will have the record player as aMplifier & the tape for the
Music & Nancy said she would check on power source & extension cords
but we do not have a Mike. I suspect one could be plugged into our
systeM if one had the right plug but I gather the space iS not
enorMous so you May not need one.
0 In looking over the prograMMe to Make these notes for you
find it heavily over balanced on the Modern, indeed local side. I was
thinking first of what could be done effectively in a 3 couple set &
secondly about fitting it on the platforM- not to Mention using soMe
things they had been doing recently since it is d1fficult to teach
Much new while the class keeps appearing & disappearing like a bunch
of Magicians assistants because they will insist on taking holidays!
Anyway you can avoid Mentioning that aspect of things if you wish!
We shall probably have not 1 but 3 highland dancers, ao DaJeean &
Randy, two friends of Kevin Lesko's froM his Highland class have
decided to coMe too. They coMe to the GH1ghland part of the evening
with Red Thistle & this Will be the first show they have done with us.
Making life difficult for both Musicians &
Dear Teacher!
Please take a moment to fill out and return the attached
questionnaire. We would like you to do so for every demonstration
so we can get a feel for the number of occasions, the number of
qualified dancers, and the numbers/types of dances being performed.
