LUGARES TURISTICOS
El Azufral es un volcán semiactivo en la región
andina del departamento colombiano de Nariño, a
6.5 km de la ciudad de Sapuyes, por la vía al
Corregimiento de El Espino. Tiene una elevación de
4070 msnm.
Está considerado como reserva natural por el
Consejo Directivo de Corponariño. Se destacan las
tres lagunas La Negra, La Blanca y La Verde, siendo
esta última la de mayor atractivo, razón por la que
es visitada en todas las épocas del año por miles de
turistas de todas partes del mundo. El acceso se
realiza principalmente desde Túquerres, aunque
también puede realizarse y tiene mayor diversidad
natural desde el corregimiento El Espino de
Sapuyes, municipio dentro de cuya jurisdicción se
encuentra la mayor parte de esta reserva natural.
The Azufral is a semi-active volcano in the Andean
region of the Colombian department of Nariño, 6.5
km from the city of Sapuyes, via the Corregimiento of
El Espino. It has an elevation of 4070 masl.
It is considered a natural reserve by the Corponariño
Board of Directors. The three lagoons La Negra, La
Blanca and La Verde stand out, the latter being the
most attractive, which is why it is visited at all times of
the year by thousands of tourists from all over the
world. The access is mainly made from Túquerres,
although it can also be done and has greater
natural diversity from the El Espino de Sapuyes
district, municipality within whose jurisdiction is the
greater part of this natural reserve.
