Action: Inhibits vitamin K-dependent activation of clotting
factors II, VII, IX, X, formed in the liver.
Dosage: 1 mg, 2 mg, 2.5 mg, 3 mg, 4 mg, 5 mg, 6 mg, 7.5
mg, 10 mg
Route: P.O., I.V.
Adverse Reaction: headache, nausea, hematuria,
jaundice, dermatitis, necrosis, fever, vomiting, cramps
Interactions: Acetaminophen: May increase bleeding with
long-term therapy (more than 2 weeks) at high doses
(more than 2g/day) of acetaminophen
