Class Descriptions<br />
ABC: Abs, Butt, and Core wrapped into a nice 30-minute class that will hit all the<br />
right spots!<br />
Belly Dance: Enjoy traditional and fusion belly dance! Learn some fundamentals<br />
and get a cardio workout at the same time (no experience necessary).<br />
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ): Self-defense techniques utilizing your opponents<br />
body weight through the biomechanics of leverage.<br />
Butts and Guts: Work your glutes and abs to the max! Both will scream as you<br />
limp away.<br />
Butts, Legs, and Thighs (BLT): A compact lower body workout to obtain<br />
great legs and glutes in a quick 30-minute class.<br />
Cardio-Kickboxing: These calorie-burning classes will combine punching,<br />
jabbing, and kicking continuously to increase the heart rate for an amazing<br />
workout.<br />
Cardio-Sculpt: An intense cardio interval workout with sculpting segments<br />
that tone all of the major muscle groups usually taught boot camp style.<br />
Core Conditioning (CC): This class may utilize the Bosu, Medicine ball, or<br />
Resist-a-Ball to strengthen the abs/lower back and improve balance to<br />
strengthen the core.<br />
Indoor Cycling: A group exercise class performed on stationary bikes while an<br />
instructor simulates hill-climbing, sprints, and races. It is truly a fantastic<br />
cardiovascular workout. You will be kept motivated by the instructor, the people<br />
around you, and the music.<br />
Krav Maga: Hand-to-hand combat used by U.S. Military and Law Enforcement<br />
designed to translate in �eld combat skills to everyday street situations.<br />
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA): Cardio based workout showcasing a variety of<br />
defense techniques and promoting overall �tness.<br />
Pilates with Props: This class will feature the addition of a variety of props<br />
(balls, bands, rings) to enhance the participants’ challenge.<br />
Pilates for All: This mixed level Pilates class is designed to introduce the novice<br />
to the principles of Pilates while continuing to challenge the more experienced<br />
participant.<br />
Power Dance: A cardio-intensive specialty class set to high energy music.<br />
Hottest dance moves, weights, step, and Bosu combo will teach you con�dence,<br />
coordination and strength. Transform your body with a mix of power and dance.<br />
Power Kickboxing (PK): This kickboxing class enables you to have a<br />
complete workout by allowing you to do cardio kickboxing for the �rst half hour<br />
and an all over sculpting in the second half hour to include abs.<br />

Class Descriptions Continued<br />
Total Body Conditioning (TBC): Get a great workout by sculpting and<br />
toning the entire body (May include segments of cardio).<br />
Yoga for Relaxation: This basic yoga class will take the participant through a<br />
variety of traditional yoga poses with the purpose of developing �exibility and<br />
introducing techniques to aid in the release of stress.<br />
Yoga Challenge: This yoga class will take your �tness and �exibility to a new<br />
level. The instructor will present a variety of poses to invigorate the mind and<br />
body.<br />
Yoga for Flexibility: This yoga class will concentrate on improving the<br />
participant’s �exibility. A �owing “vinyasa” style of yoga will be taught.<br />
Yoga for the Core: This yoga class will use traditional yoga poses to<br />
strengthen the core as well as improve �exibility.<br />
Yo! Pilates: Start your day with a dynamic combination of yoga and Pilates. The<br />
instructor will lead the class through a variety of Pilates exercises to strengthen<br />
thecore as well as challenging your �exibility with yoga poses.<br />
Zumba: Come dance yourself into shape with this Latin-in�uenced workout.<br />
Come prepared to sweat!<br />
Policies For All <strong>Classes</strong><br />
*Must be a full-time student, member or have paid the facility Daily Guest<br />
Fee. An additional drop-in class fee or purchased pass is required for<br />
Yoga/Pilates, Martial Arts and Aqua Aerobics.<br />
*Participants may sign up for class up to one hour in advance.<br />
*The front desk will stop handing out passes 5 minutes into each class.<br />
*The doors to each room will be closed 10 minutes after class begins.<br />
*Please be respectful to the other patrons and arrive to class on time!<br />
*It is highly encouraged that cycling participants bring a water bottle to<br />
class.<br />
* Rules and guidelines vary for each program. Be sure to follow what is<br />
posted in each room.<br />
*Paid classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.<br />

Iron <strong>Mason</strong><br />
Iron <strong>Mason</strong> is a <strong>Mason</strong> Recreation incentive program that encourages<br />
members to step up their physical activity during the <strong>Spring</strong> <strong>2012</strong><br />
semester. It is not a race. Participants will walk, run, swim and bike their<br />
way up to the traditional Iron Man distance. Each participant will receive<br />
his or her own log sheet that will be submitted every two weeks so that<br />
we can complete the event together. We encourage all participants to<br />
complete the distance at their own pace.<br />
The Iron <strong>Mason</strong> distance can be completed quickly or over a longer<br />
period of time. As long as you complete it between February 6th and<br />
April 30th you have met the challenge! Come out to the recreational<br />
facilities to have some fun while we Iron <strong>Mason</strong> our way to better health!<br />
