Welcome to Sandbag Times Radio...
Life is never dull in the Sandhole! There has been plenty going
on both in the magazine, and on the radio front. We still make
the case and fully support the plight of the Chennai 6 lads
incarcerated illegaly in an Indian prison, and we will continue our
support until they are free. You will see many posts on the
websites about this, and throughout the magazine. Please
support in whatever capacity you are able to do so. Every little
helps, and there are many ways that you can help.
As far as the SBT Radio Station is concerned, it has been a very
busy month, with the recent additions of new DJ's, Shaz Kiuama,
and Ally Bongo into the mix extending our broadcast schedule,
along with Dj Gremlin with his "Inspirational Hour and Gospel
Music" adding variety and diversity to our programs. Work is
going on feverishly in the background, by Pablo, Jane, and
those responsible for the "refit" of the " Song For A Hero" album.
One of the tracks "Stand Up For The Boys" has had a complete
rewrite so that the words reflect the cause and plight of the
Chennai lads. This album can be purchased at the link you will
find under the Editors input :)
We have fostered a close knit family within the station, and it
continues to go from strength to strength. Although it is
possible to listen to the station whilst not actually in the chat
room, we encourage everyone to at least try it out, you may be
pleasantly surprised, and there is always banter to be had with
the odd bit of leg pulling thrown into the mix. We play music
from any genre, and welcome requests on the majority of the
live broadcasts.
As always, we rely entirely on your support in order to bring you
the kind of Radio Station you deserve. Not from the financial
standpoint, as we do not ask for any kind of monetary donation,
but we do depend on your feedback in order that we can meet
the requirements of our ever growing listener family.
There is always room for improvement, in every walk of life, and
Internet Radio is no exception, so keep the suggestions
coming... the clean type!
The broadcast schedule is evolving daily, to include quizzes, live"
on air competitions, and anything else we can throw into the pot.
If you think you have what it takes to spin the decks, or just wish
to help in any other capacity, then get in touch with me at
jim@sandbagtimes.com, and we will be glad to hear from you.
Until the next time, thanks as always for your ongoing support,
without which our work here would be pointless. From all here
at Sandbag Times Radio, we'll catch you on the "flip"!
