Remote Control Helicopters
Are you interested in purchasing a new Radio Control Helicopter but not sure what to
buy? Here are a few guidelines to help you choose according to your budget or
preferences in size, style, and special specifications. It also includes the best for your
budget, best overall, and most popular categories.
Which helicopter is the best for me to start with? Things to consider before you buy:
– how much are you willing to pay for your helicopter? Please
check out the Best Budget section to see recommendations according
your budget. We have items as low as £22.00 for the best value on
your budget (price subject to change). Mid-sized helicopters start at
£24.99 and the larger scale helicopters start at £59.99.
– what dimensions are you looking for? We have mini/micro Syma
helicopters that rest on the palm of your hand. They range between
4-6 inches 10.2-15.3 cm long. The mid size helicopters are about
6-8 inches 15.3-20.4 cm long. The large sized helicopters are over
13 inches 33.2 cm long.
All SYMA helicopters are available in 3 channels,
unless specified in the description. The three channels include ability
to fly up/down, left/right, and forward/backward. Why 3 channels?
It is a lot easier for beginners to fly the craft almost straight
away. Most 2 channel models are limited in manoeuverability (you do
not have full control of the craft) while the SYMA 3 Channel helicopter
models will enable beginners to start flying remote control helicopters
with ease, offering fun and building confidence at the same
time.
– 99% of Syma helicopters are fitted with coaxial
double blades? Why? For great flight stability. When you fly a
helicopter fitted with coaxial double blades is extremely stable and
increases easy of use and fun.

Remote Control Helicopters
(How many helicopters can be flown at one
time?) Most of our SYMA Helicopters now come in 2 selectable band
A/B frequencies. Some have up to 3 selectable band A/B/C frequencies
where you can fly up to three helicopters at one time (To select
band frequency, make sure the remote control transmitter is OFF and
helicopter is OFF. Then select the band A/B/C. Turn ON the transmitter
and set the helicopter according to the selected band). Some
items come with a set frequency (27 MHz or 40 MHz). Please check
the description to see which frequencies are available.
– how do you want the helicopter to look? Syma helicopters
have a wide selection of styles and colours to choose from. Our
starter model the S107G The classic model is Yellow in colour to
resemble a bird’s beak and may come with LED lights.
– Gyroscope system – The new helicopter models
with GYROSCOPE technology offer precision control. Gyroscopes
allow for quick and precise rotation of the helicopter so that it turns
to a specific direction upon signal from the remote control. In short,
it allows the helicopter to fly and turn precisely according to the
handle you have on the remote control. What is the difference between
the gyroscope helicopters and the non-gyro helicopters? Helicopters
with the gyroscope technology allow for quick, crisp and
clear-cut directional changes (no trimming necessary – helicopter is
super stable without any adjustments) whereas the helicopter response
without a gyroscope is slower in response and directional
(right/left, backward/forward) changes are wider (trimming adjustments
necessary – need to adjust the trim knob if the helicopter spins
upon lift off). In short, the new gyroscope technology system in the
radio control helicopter allows you to be in full and precise control
which is very good for first time pilots.
All of the SYMA Radio Control Helicopters are suitable for children ages
14 and up (adult supervision required). Please use caution while operating
these items and follow instructions thoroughly in the manuals.
