The Business section of the
Sunday Times as he is having
breakfast.
The advert invites interest in
a patented disinfectant. Thus
begins nearly five years of work
putting in place the building
blocks of Tristel.
Tristel has set up business in
a small office in Snailwell. The
now familiar Tristel logo starts
to take shape.
After a five year long,
but ultimately successful
campaign, Tristel has emerged
as the leading replacement for
Glutaraldehyde.
It is the safest and most
effective disinfectant for
endoscopes.
Now a recognised “bug buster”,
Tristel is an immediate hit with
investors and a successful
flotation is achieved.
The inward investment fuels an
accelerated product pipeline
including development of Stella
and Shine as well as products
for use in dental surgeries and
fertility clinics.
The new delivery system and
gel formulation enable Tristel
to be used more effectively in
smaller areas.
Infection prevention teams
find the Jet trigger system safer
and more convenient.
The first portable washer
for endoscopes and small
instruments is in development.
Introduced as Stella, the
product will come to be seen
as being perfect for small
hospitals and clinics and can
be used in field hospitals.
