Day 1 Arrive Christchurch
Kia Ora. Welcome to New Zealand. A Kirra representative
will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2 Christchurch, Hanmer Springs (B,D)
Time to explore Christchurch with two of the most popular
attractions, the Christchurch Tram and a glide along the
Avon River on an Edwardian style punt. This afternoon,
head inland to the naturally quaint and tranquil alpine
village of Hanmer Springs, nestled into the foothills of the
Southern Alps.
Stay: Heritage Hotel Hanmer Springs
Day 3 Picton, Wellington (B)
Journey to Picton where you board the Interislander Ferry
and cruise through the spectacular Queen Charlotte Sound
into Cook Strait. Enjoy stunning views of New Zealand’s
capital city as you arrive into Wellington Harbour.
Stay: The Amora Hotel (2 nights)
Day 4 At leisure in Wellington (B)
Enjoy a brief city tour taking in all the major sights and
then there is free time for exploring on your own. Situated
on the Wellington waterfront, a visit to Te Papa, the
Museum of New Zealand, is highly recommended. Another
very popular excursion is a visit to the Weta Workshop, a
world-leading design and special effects facility for major
Hollywood film makers.
Day 5 Martinborough Wine Village (B,D)
The town of Martinborough is located at the centre of the
Wairarapa wine region and many boutique vineyards are
within an easy walk of the village square.

Day 6 Pukaha Mount Bruce, Tongariro
National Park (B,D)
Enjoy a guided tour of the Pukaha Mount Bruce Wildlife
Centre, a captive-breeding sanctuary for some of the
country’s most threatened birds and home to the only white
kiwi in captivity. Continue north to Tongariro, New Zealand’s
oldest national park and a dual World Heritage area.

Day 7 Taupo, Rotorua (B,D)
There is time to stroll around the popular lakeside resort of
Taupo before stopping to view the mighty Huka Falls & Wairakei
Geothermal Project. This evening, we enjoy a tour of Te
Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve and are treated to a traditional
Maori hangi (feast) and cultural performance featuring Maori
songs, chants and dance including the stirring haka.

Day 8 Exclusive Lake Rotoiti Cruise &
Redwood Treetop Walk (B)
Today’s highlight is an exclusive cruise across the serene,
clear waters of Lake Rotoiti. Explore native bays and coves
of the lake under sail on our luxury catamaran. Later, enjoy a
suspended treetop eco-walk amongst Rotorua’s gentle giants in
the Redwood Forest and get a unique bird’s eye perspective of
these 110 year old trees and the lush flora below.
Day 9 Hobbiton, Overnight Cruise on
Hauraki Gulf (B,D)
Enjoy a guided tour of Hobbiton, the set used in the
block-busting Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies.
This afternoon we board ‘Hauraki Blue’ for a unique cruise
that will immerse you into the breathtaking beauty of the
Hauraki Gulf. Explore the islands of the Gulf and discover
secluded beaches, paddle about in a kayak or snorkel in the
clean, clear waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Overnight: Hauraki Blue
Day 10 At leisure in Auckland (B)
After breakfast, cruise back to port, taking in the sights
of Auckland’s eastern beaches along the way. The rest of
today is free to explore New Zealand’s largest and most
vibrant city.

Day 11 Depart Auckland (B)
Sadly, your holiday ends after breakfast this morning.
Here we bid you farewell and hope you leave with many
