Howard Goodall is an EMMY, BRIT and BAFTA award-winning composer
of choral music, stage musicals, film and TV scores, and a
distinguished broadcaster.
Howard’s setting of Psalm 23 and Love Divine are amongst the most
performed of all contemporary choral works. His major works include
Eternal Light: A Requiem and Every Purpose under the Heaven.
The music of Morten Lauridsen occupies a permanent place in the
standard vocal repertoire of the 21st century. In 2006, he was named an
‘American Choral Master’ by the National Endowment for the Arts, and
in 2007 he was awarded the National Medal of Arts, the highest artistic
award in the United States, by the President in a White House ceremony,
for his “composition of radiant choral works combining musical beauty,
power, and spiritual depth”.
Alexander L’Estrange is a British choral composer and arranger whose
music is performed and celebrated throughout the world.
His compositional voice is characterised by his background as a cathedral
chorister and as a professional jazz musician. Add to that mix a First Class
Honours Music degree from Oxford University, his passionate dedication
to music education and his charismatic choral leadership and it’s no
wonder that he has been dubbed “the ideal 21st-century musician”
(Howard Goodall CBE).
