The <strong>Port</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Seattle</strong>’s commitment to<br />

<strong>in</strong>clude art <strong>in</strong> its facilities began at Sea-<br />

Tac <strong>in</strong> 1969 when <strong>the</strong> <strong>Port</strong> Commission voted<br />

to set aside $300,000 for permanent works.<br />

When <strong>the</strong> <strong>Port</strong> remodeled and expanded<br />

Concourses B, C, and D <strong>in</strong> 1990, one percent <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> construction budget was set aside for art.<br />

The <strong>Port</strong> <strong>in</strong>vested $1.8 million <strong>in</strong> art<br />

with <strong>the</strong> open<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> Concourse A and<br />

<strong>the</strong> expansion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> south term<strong>in</strong>al area.<br />

Please take time to explore and enjoy <strong>the</strong><br />

visual feast here at Sea-Tac Airport. You<br />

can learn more about <strong>the</strong> history <strong>of</strong> our art<br />

program, <strong>the</strong> artists, and <strong>the</strong>ir works at <strong>the</strong><br />
