MANUEL C. PAETE<br />
Vice President, Head - LGBU Projects<br />
& Resource Management<br />
Mr. Paete, 59, Filipino, was appointed<br />
by the Board in December 2010. He<br />
started his career in <strong>EDC</strong> as a reservoir<br />
engineer trainee in LGPF in 1980.<br />
He then assumed various positions<br />
in well test measurements and FCRS<br />
operations before becoming the LGPF<br />
Production Manager in 2004 and<br />
Resident Manager in 2005. In 2013<br />
under the Strategic Business Unit set-up,<br />
he was assigned to head the Project and<br />
Resource Management Group of Leyte<br />
Geothermal Business Unit.<br />
Mr. Paete graduated with a Bachelor<br />
of Science degree in Mechanical<br />
Engineering degree from the Leyte<br />
Institute of Technology in 1978 and<br />
passed the Mechanical Engineer<br />
Licensure Examination in the same year.<br />
He became a Professional Mechanical<br />
Engineer in 2010. He also completed a<br />
course on Geothermal Technology with<br />
specialization in Borehole Geophysics at<br />
the United Nations University, Reykjavik,<br />
Iceland (1983). In October 2012, he<br />
received The Outstanding Mechanical<br />
Engineer award in the field of<br />
Management by the Philippine Society<br />
of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) during<br />
the 60th PSME national convention.<br />

Technology Group<br />
Mr. Poblete, 55, Filipino, was appointed<br />
by the Board in September 2011. He<br />
is a global information technology (IT)<br />
executive with over 25 years of diverse<br />
experience in cross-cultural markets<br />
across Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa,<br />
Latin America and North America.<br />
He has held various leadership<br />
positions with responsibilities covering<br />
IT infrastructure, manufacturing,<br />
sales, logistics systems, people<br />
management, strategic business<br />
planning and management, and<br />
business development. He was formerly<br />
the Senior Vice President and Director<br />
for the Strategic Initiatives Office of<br />
Philamlife Insurance Co. He was also<br />
with Procter & Gamble (P&G) for 18<br />
years, holding various positions such as<br />
Country IT Manager of Korea, Associate<br />
Director for Worldwide Distribution<br />
Systems and Associate Director for<br />
Business Information Solutions for Asia<br />
Regional Operations.<br />
Mr. Poblete graduated with a B. S. in<br />
Electrical Engineering degree from the<br />
University of the Philippines in Diliman,<br />
and is an alumnus of the Philippine<br />
Science High School.<br />

FERDINAND S. Golez<br />
Assistant Vice President,<br />
Head - Security Group<br />
Mr. Golez, 62, Filipino, is a highly<br />
accomplished and well-decorated<br />
career naval professional experienced<br />
in leadership and management of major<br />
commands of the Navy, the most recent<br />
of which was his almost two-year tour of<br />
duty at the helm of the Philippine Navy<br />
as its Flag Officer In Command — the<br />
highest and most coveted position in<br />
the Navy. He rose to the top command<br />
as an energetic manager and leader<br />
of a 23,000 strong sailors and marines<br />
of the Navy. He is an expert in a<br />
diverse spectrum of fields — naval and<br />
maritime operations, intelligence and<br />
strategic planning, national security<br />
administration, resource allocation,<br />
and organizational development.<br />
Throughout his naval career, he has<br />
established valuable networks in the<br />
maritime field from local government<br />
and non-government organizations,<br />
foreign naval counterparts, various<br />
foreign dignitaries and other overseas<br />
military leaders and diplomats. After<br />
his naval career, he joined the Energy<br />
Development Corporation (<strong>EDC</strong>) as its<br />
Senior Manager and promoted later<br />
as Head of the Center of Excellence<br />
Security Group (COE-SG), looking into<br />
all nationwide security concerns of the<br />
company since 16 August 2010.<br />
Mr. Golez earned his MBA from the<br />
Ateneo de Manila University (1981);<br />
Naval Command College Course<br />
from and his Bachelor of Science from<br />
Philippine Military Academy, Baguio City<br />
(1976). He completed training for Naval<br />
Command College Course at Naval<br />
War College, Newport, Rhode Island;<br />

Ma. ELIZABETH D. NASOL<br />

Group<br />
Ms. Nasol, 59, Filipino, joined the<br />
Company in February 2013 as<br />
Vice-President for Human Resources<br />
Management Group. Prior to her<br />
appointment in <strong>EDC</strong>, she was the<br />
Vice President for Corporate Human<br />
Resources of First Philippine Electric<br />
Corporation (First Philec) which is the<br />
intermediate holding company for all<br />
manufacturing investments of First<br />
Philippine Holdings (FPH).<br />
Before joining the FPH family, she<br />
was the Vice President for Corporate<br />
Human Resource of Roxas Holdings,<br />
Inc. and all its subsidiaries, and Head<br />
of the Center for Excellence of Globe<br />
Telecommunications, Inc. She was<br />
also the Vice President and Cluster HR<br />
Manager for Corporate Service Unit<br />
in San Miguel Corporation where she<br />
spent the majority of her professional<br />
career.<br />
She is currently taking her Masteral and<br />
Doctorate Degrees in Organization<br />
Development in the Southeast<br />
Asia Interdisciplinary Development<br />
Institute (SAIDI). She graduated from<br />
the University of Santo Tomas with<br />
a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology,<br />
completed the Executive Development<br />
Program of INSEAD Singapore in<br />
1992, and finished the Strategic HR<br />
Management Program of the University<br />

Maribel A. Manlapaz<br />
Comptroller<br />
Ms. Manlapaz, 52, Filipino, joined<br />
Energy Development Corporation in<br />
November 2009. She is a Certified<br />
Public Accountant with more than 20<br />
years of experience in the multinational<br />
pharmaceutical and consumer products<br />
industries. Prior to joining <strong>EDC</strong>, Ms.<br />
Manlapaz was the Finance Director for<br />
UCB Philippines, Inc., a multinational<br />
Pharmaceutical company based in<br />
Belgium.<br />
Ms. Manlapaz graduated Cum Laude<br />
from the Philippine School of Business<br />
Administration (1986) and completed<br />
her Masters in Business Administration<br />
for Top Executives from Pamantasan Ng<br />
Lungsod Ng Maynila (1996).<br />

Bernardito M. Lapuz<br />

Management Group<br />
Mr. Lapuz, 56, Filipino, is the Chief<br />
Risk Officer and Vice President for<br />
the Strategy and Risk Management<br />
Group of the Energy Development<br />
Corporation. Prior to joining the Lopez<br />
Group, he worked at Metropolitan Bank<br />
& Trust Co. for more than twenty years<br />
as its Executive Vice President and<br />
Chief Risk Officer since 2006, and as its<br />
Senior Vice President-Head, Corporate<br />
Planning Division and Investor Relations<br />
Officer since 1994. He also worked at<br />
the Citytrust Banking Corp. for seven<br />
years as its Assistant Vice President<br />
and Senior Corporate Planning &<br />
Development Officer. He was a member<br />
of the Corporate Planning Society of the<br />
Philippines and the Bankers Institute of<br />
the Philippines.<br />
Mr. Lapuz obtained his Masters<br />
Degree in Business Administration<br />
with specialization in Finance at the<br />
California State University (1986) and his<br />
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business<br />
Management, Honors Program, at the<br />

GleNn L. Tee<br />
Chief Audit Executive,<br />
Head - Internal Audit Group<br />
Mr. Tee, 45, Filipino, was appointed<br />
by the Board in October 2010. Prior<br />
to his appointment at <strong>EDC</strong>, he was<br />
Internal Audit Head of First Gen Corp.<br />
for two years. He has been with the<br />
Lopez Group since 1994 and has<br />
held key positions in the internal<br />
audit and accounting departments of<br />
First Philippine Holdings Corp. and<br />
First Philippine Infrastructure and<br />
Development Corp.<br />
Mr. Tee graduated from San Beda<br />
College (1992), and is both a Certified<br />
Public Accountant and Certified Internal<br />
Auditor. He completed the academic<br />
requirements of the Executive Masters<br />
in Business Administration from the AIM<br />
(2009).<br />
