LP 2000/2
One system – two technologies!
A successful system is heading into the second round with even more improvements.
Two completely different print technologies – Thermotransfer and Ink Jet – are going to be applied in the new
LP 2000/2. In connection with a complex, high-performance conversion system, new and nearly limitless possibilities
in professional label printing are made accessible.
Optional
web-tension
control and
web guiding
control for high
demands
Alongside the high-resolution Ink Jet print, elaborate options have been added.
They allow for a remarkable increase in performance as well as significantly
improving handling for the user.
The two print technologies, Thermotransfer and Ink Jet, can be applied individually
or in combination, according to the user’s needs. The modular setup of
the LP 2000/2 sets no limits for the user.
A few examples. On a white pre-print from the thermotransfer process, photorealistic
images from the high-resolution InkJet print process can be placed or
high gloss spot colours such as gold or silver can be added to InkJet prints.
Scratch-off prints as an ink ribbon can also be processed directly, of course, also
using an InkJet print.
The performance data of the LP 2000/2 is also very
satisfying. Print speeds of up to 125 mm/sec in
thermo-transfer and up to 400 mm/sec in the Ink Jet
process can be easily achieved thanks to the application
of high-quality drive and control technologies.
In terms of the software environment, mprint also sets
completely new benchmarks with the LP 2000/2.
A specifically developed Windows® print driver
allows for printing from any Windows® based
user software. Whether from a graphics,
image processing or labeling software
or the Internet browser, the user has
an immediate overview of the print
results at hand.
The Touch
Monitor as a
central control
unit can be
positioned
anywhere within
the working area
Options that can be expected of any professional label-printing machine,
such as web tension, web edge guiding, web cleaning or pre-processing
aggregates are, of course, offered for the LP 2000/2.
Additional processing and finishing of the labels can also easily be integrated
in the LP 2000/2. Laminating, die cutting, perforating, or converting to
sheet are only a few of the numerous possibilities of this complex finishing
system, which in the end, offers labels that correspond with the expected
demands to 100%.
Although the LP 2000/2, unlike the various other reel fed
print systems on the market, can be conceived as a highly
individual label-printing machine due to the numerous
equipping variants, the mprint does still account as a
“standard module system”. Primarily, this allows for a low
price for a powerful product.
Form and
