4 POWERSLIDE RACE // TECHNOLOGY

As the name suggests, this refers to three wheel skates, or
as we know them at Powerslide, Triskates. Not only is this a
revolution for all segments of skating, but it is also the case
for race. As we’ve seen in the recent marathon events, the
swtich to 3x125mm has proved to be faster, but why?
- IT’S LIGHTER - one less wheel
- MORE CONTROL - due to having a wheel under the
middle of the foot, it has allowed the skate to have a
pivot point
- MORE ROLL - bigger wheels
Speed skaters have precious feet! Spending countless
hours chasing the dream, their feet take a hammering.
The two areas which take the brunt of this impact are
the navicular bone on THE INSIDE OF THE FOOT and the
OUTSIDE REAR PART OF THE HEEL.
With our pain free shell we have removed the sections
of carbon causing this pain and because our shell is
compression moulded we do not sacrifice any stiffness.
This manufacturing technology enables us to cut out the
shell as well as adding nicely shaped reinforcements to
increase the stiffness of the shell. We can create shapes
with sharp contours in our carbonfibre shells which
you usually only know from injected composite shells.
This is giving our shells a very special and unique look.
Powerslide is the only brand in inline skating offering
compression molded shells.
TRINITY - A totally redesigned mounting system.
As skaters are getting faster and faster it is only logical that
the mounting system needed to be redesigned because
power that the world’s top racers produce shouldn’t be
wasted. Also with wheel sizes increasing, pressure and
torque increases too, TRINITY balances these forces and
gives the skater MORE STABILITY.
