Welcome to a new breed of Music
Weekend - VAMOS! Where travel and
music industries join forces to bring you a
Live Music Weekend. Featuring music from
the 1950s - 1980s VAMOS! will have a party
atmosphere - and we hope to see you
singing along and dancing to some of the
best known music of those eras. We all
know that when it comes to music, all roads
lead to the Southern USA and there is no
better way to understand the life of the
Deep South than to take a tour through its
musical landscape. So Vamos! plans to
bring you a weekend full of American style
music and cuisine.
Travel & Music Industry personnel have
worked together and aim to give you a taste
of the “South” and to introduce you to new
resort areas and attractions within a 2 hour
radius of Music City itself - Nashville
Tennessee. We hope that you will like what
you see enough to someday, in the near
future, visit our friends at the other side of
the Atlantic. We all know people who go on
holiday and come back not with tales of the
major tourist sites, but of hearing their
favourite music played live and loud at an
obscure or famous bar or club.
We want you to take home tales of your
weekend at VAMOS! The music you’ve
heard and the friends you have made.
We will know that we have succeeded
when you come back to see us next year!

Former Chilli Piper Cameron Barnes kicks of our Friday Night Party fronting his new
band Break the Butterfly. Sweden’s Country Rock Star - Hicks is playing in Scotland for
the first time - his wonderful rocking country sounds fresh and will certainly have the
dancers and listeners rocking and bopping. Next up from Nashville Tennessee it’s
Branch & Dean. Known for high-energy live shows, they also work tirelessly as the
International Ambassadors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Then Lars Pluto and the
Reavers will take us on a nostalgic journey through the 50s and 60s, before The
Blues Brothers Scotland pay tribute to Jake and Elwood.

Taking the stage in her home town is the one and only Eve Graham from the New
Seekers. This weekend marks the 45th Anniversary of the bands’ appearance at the
Eurovision Song Contest…Feel a bit of Beg Steal and Borrow coming on? Eve is sure to
want to “Teach the World to Sing” at VAMOS!
Finally, ending a great night of music at VAMOS! It’s the fantastic Marmalade - Scotland’s
first chart toppers. With their unique vocal harmonies and dynamic live performances
they have delighted audiences from the mid sixties through to the new millennium
having achieved multi-million number one selling records with ‘OB LA DI OB LA DA’ and ‘
Reflections of my Life’ both in the UK and the USA respectively.

After a fabulous Saturday of music in our indoor venues, the Main Stage comes alive
with the sounds of Bon Jovi & One Wild Night, followed by an array of Country Artists
from the USA, Canada and England…After many successes on the British Country Scene,
Glen Mitchell continues to have a great career since he moved the USA. James
Carothers and Jerry Lee Combs perform the hits of yesteryear and some fantastic
original material at the George Jones Complex in Nashville. Sarah Beth Keeley from
Canada will launch her first ever UK tour and the wonderful SaraBeth will finish hers in
style on the VAMOS! Stage. John Verity Band (Ex Argent) will add a bit of Blues to the
proceedings before our attention turns to Jason Porter as Michael Bublé.

Saturday evening entertainment continues with the wonderful Let’s Drift - a highly
experienced group performing the songs of The Drifters, The Four Tops, The
Temptations, Stevie Wonder & Edwin Starr to name but a few. Each and every song
from over 50 years of Drifters and Motown will show case their vocal range and skills.
Our final act tonight is Johnny Lee Memphis as the King of Rock and Roll - Elvis Presley!
Johnny’s incredible vocal range, stage presence and likeness to the king earned him the
title of World Champion at the Elvis World Cup. He has amazed audiences and fans with
his attention to detail and his outstanding voice. Viva Las Vamos!

It’s Sunday at VAMOS! - Already today in our inside venues we have had everything from
Gospel, to Country, Blues, and Rock & Roll…This evening the main stage sees a
performance by The Pacemakers who will take us on a journey down memory lane
performing the great hits from the Gerry & The Pacemakers days. Scotland’s own Chris
McClure AKA Christian has been entertaining people for over 50 years and really knows
how to connect with his audience. Next up The Jersey Notes treat you to an evening of
nostalgia as they magically recreate the style and sounds of Frankie Valli & The Four
Seasons - one of the greatest vocal groups of all time. Featuring all of their biggest hits
including: Big girls don’t cry, Sherry, Walk like a man, Working my way back to you and
many more…

As darkness falls we welcome the legend that is Mr PJ Proby. American Rock & Roller PJ
never really hit it big in his homeland, but his trouser-busting stage antics and hits like
Hold Me, Somewhere and Maria have make him a genuine pop star in the UK.
Topping the bill we meet Los Pacaminos. At least one member of this highly respected
seven piece group will be very familiar to you - Paul Young, and his amazing vocals.
Paul and some of the finest musicians in the business have teamed up to bring you this
mix of Tex Mex songs, Spanish music and original material that make up the music of
Los Pacaminos. The music will continue a little while longer with the sounds of our
superb house band The Vodka Martins, before VAMOS! 2017 bids you a fond farewell.
