The Legend
of the
Dreambox
By: Brenna
Krieger

Once upon a time there was a hotel called
The Fairytale Inn and in The Fairytale Inn there
was a Dreambox, but no one knew where the
Dreambox was or who put it there. The Dreambox
was told to be beautiful and was told to hold
many spictacular things, such as gold or jewls...
“I’m Brenna your hotel reseptionist, how may I
help you?” Brenna was new and she didnt know
that much about the hotel she just knew the key
things like The Dreambox is there and many people
go there.
“I would like my room please, I booked it online,”
said Joseph.
“Okay, your room is room #222, it is on the left
side on the second floor,” said Brenna.
“Thank you,” Joseph said sarcastically.
When Joseph got to his room he got his card out
he tried to open his door but he couldn’t so he kept
trying and trying and he tried a lot of times and

still couldn’t open the door so he started screaming
and he woke everyone that was asleep. So Brenna
came running and said “why are you screaming?”
Joseph said”because I can’t open my door!!!”
“You don’t have to scream and wake everyone”
said Brenna.
“But I need help” said Joseph.
“Okay I’ll help you but you need to stop
screaming” said Brenna.
“Okay I’ll stop” said Joseph.
“Good, okay can I have your card so I can open
your door” said Brenna.
“Here you go” said Joseph.
Brenna got the card and tried to open the door
and it didn’t open so she tried again and it still didnt
open, then she mumbled under her breath so this must
be The DreamBox room…
Then Brenna said “okay I will get you another
room that’s door will accaully open.”

“Okay” said joseph.
“Lets go” said Brenna.
“When will we get there???” said Joseph.
“Wait, it is all the way back on the first floor.”
Brenna said.
They were walking down the stairs. It took so
long just to get down there but they did it finally.
When they got down there Brenna realized that they
needed to go down one more floor to the lobby to
get the card then back up to the room. Brenna went
to get it because Joseph said he was to tired and
when she came back she opened the door and made
sure he was settled then walked away...
When she walked away she walked to The
DreamBox room she examined the door and she saw a
keyhole under the card reader. She felt it with her
hand she put her finger in it and she tried to look
through the keyhole but there was no use because
she couldn’t find anything that could help her get in.

She walked back down to her desk and she
started to organize the papers and the cards that
she needed then she saw a note, the note read:
“The Legend of the Dreambox (often
attributed to Lemuria) suggests writing down
your fondest dream, greatest desire,
strongest wish on a small piece of paper,
putting that paper in a Dreambox and placing
it beside your bed. Every evening as you
retire and evey morning as you rise, hold your
Dreambox and think on your dream, believing
with all your heart that it is so. Legend has it,
if done faithfully... your dream will come true.”
When she finished reading the note she thought
about it and she looked around to try to find out
why the note might be there and she saw and the
moonlight was shining to the right side of her desk
and she saw an arrow pointing to the picture on the
wall so she looked at the picture, she stared at it

then finally she lifted up the picture and something
fell out onto the floor. Brenna started looking
around to try to find it because she wanted to know
what it was and if it could help her unlock the door
of The Dreambox room. She even cralled under her
desk to try to find it and she finally found it, it was
a key...
She grabbed the key and ran as fast as she could
to the Dreambox room door and she quietly (becase
she didn’t want anyone to see what she discovered)
put the key in the keyhole and tried to turn it, but it
didn’t turn so she tried again, and again, and again,
but couldn’t get it open.
“You will never get in,” wispered a little voice, “I
am guarding this room for the rest of my life, which is
forever, you wont come in unless you have the key
that openes the door standing between us. Oh ya I’m
The Dreambox Keeper.”

“I dont but I do have a different key that you
might want it is silver and the top has a skull, it
fitts in the keyhole on the door but it dosn’t turn.”
Brenna said.
“Yes that is the last one, I need it to complete my
collecttion. Sorry if you dont understand, see I need
all one hundred of these special keys to complete my
collecttion to cure my wife. So if you give me the last
key I will unlock the door and let you see my house
and
even let you pick out a Dreambox to keep forever.
Will you agree?” Said The Dreambox Keeper.
“Yes I will agree. Thank you so much for this
offer!” said Brenna. “When will we do it?”
“We will do it tomorrow night, come here at 12:01
am, and we will do it then.
“Okay, I can’t wait!” Brenna said.
The next night Brenna quietly walked over to
the Dreambox room and knocked on the door, no

answer so she did it again, no answer still, the she
started wondering if he was awake. She knocked
again still no answer, but the person staying in the
room right next to her came out and said “be quieter
my children are sleeping” then the lady went back in
her room slamming the door behind her. Then Brenna
didn’t know what was happening so she checked her
watch it said 11:11 so she quickly made a wish and
went back to the desk. At her desk she waited and
waited checking her watch constently then finally
12:00 came so she ran to the Dreambox room and
made it there at 12:01.
“Right on time” Brenna said.
So Brenna knocked on the door this time making
sure no to wake anyone, and out came a head, not a
human head and not an animal that she has seen, it
was a dragon.
“Hello I am the Dreambox keeper you can call me
Alex I was talking to you earlier. Do you remember?”

“Yes I do” said Brenna “just I was expecting a
human not a
dragon. I’m not saying that it’s bad I just didn’t
expect it.” Brenna said.
“It’s okay.” Alex said. “Okay come in, did you
bring the key?” Alex said.
“Yes it’s right here.” said Brenna. “OMG! I love
your home, it’s so beautiful”.
“Thanks okay you may look throught these
Dreamboxes and pick one out if you give me the key.”
said Alex.
“Okay here, I hope you can cure you wife. I will
come back when I find one that I like”...
The End!!!
