• Today's passage challenges me to consider who sits on the throne of my heart. I'll write a prayer to God, asking Him<br />

to search my heart and reveal the truth in this matter.<br />

Isaiah 8:6<br />

• The people of Judah rejected the help of God (gently flowing waters of Shiloah) and instead sought alliances with<br />

men who seemed to have power and military advantage.<br />

Isaiah 8:11-13<br />

•Have I ever valued someone or something more than I value my relationship with God?<br />

•God disciplined His people with the very nation (Assyria) that the people of<br />

Judah allied with instead of accepting the help of God.<br />

•Has God ever used the very person or thing that I value more than Him to<br />
