Everybody in Australia should have a solar
system on their roof. Solar saves you money,
is good for the environment and is easily
affordable and without it - you’ll pay for it

KEEP GOING UP!
This might be a bold prediction
but the table to your right shows
how much your bill will increase
by each year based only on a 10%
increase per year per $100 of your
bill. In other words for every
$100 your bill is per quarter the
table shows what your annual
bill will go up by so if your bill is
$300 a quarter you can triple the price increae if it’s $400
you can quadriple the price increase shown and so on.

Electricity vs Petrol
Your car runs on petrol. If I could give you
the ability to make petrol at home for your
car would you take me up on that?
Of course you would!
But your house runs on electricity and I am
giving you the ability to produce electricity
on your very own roof so why would you
not take me up on that?

HOW DOES A SOLAR

Solar panels turn light into direct current (DC) power
The inverter turns DC current into AC (alternating current) and
that current is sent into the house to power your house.
If you have battery storage the excess electricity you make is
stored in batteries so you can draw on that electricity at night
and depending on the battery system you can also draw on
your stored electricity during a blackout
If your batteries are full then the excess power off your roof is sold
back to the grid at a FIT (feed in tariff) specified by your electricity
retailer
A 2 way meter measures how much electricity you sell back to the
grid and how much electricity you buy off the grid

The Problem With Other
Companies Warranties
Whilst our warranties are straight forward and serviced by us right here in Australia, other
companies warranties are full of loop holes and land mine. See below for more detail.
This document contains actual word for word extracts from one of the leading suppliers of solar
systems in Australia. This warranty is fairly typical throughout the solar industry. As you will see
this warranty is worth basically nothing. In red is the wording from the warranty and in blue is
a simply explanation of what is being stated.
General Statements About The Product and Services
the Installation Subcontractor) will advise you of any additional services and/ or items that are not included in
the Installation but which are required to complete the Installation.
5.2 You will receive this advice either during the pre-Installation site inspection (if one is
conducted) or on the day of Installation (if no pre-Installation site inspection is conducted).
This is common tactic demonstrating that the quoted price is often not the full price of your system installed.
When the sub-contractor comes out to do the installation they will add on all sorts of extra charges.
You may elect to enter into an agreement with the Installation Subcontractor
This is further proof that you will be told about extra charges on the day of installation because the subbie
will already be carrying a contract so he can charge you for the extras

This warranty is with the manufacturer not the solar company and they are located in China. If you have a
problem you have to return the panel to China
The costs and expenses for their removal, installation or reinstallation shall remain with Buyer
This shows you that not only do you have to return the panel to China but you have to do so at your expense
refund the historical purchase price of the relevant Product(s) annually reduced by a linear depreciation
Even if you bothered to send the panel back to China they will only give a fraction of the cost of a new panel
Inverter Warranty
This warranty is for a period of 5 years from the date of manufacture of the product as detailed on the
product or the product manual or 5 years from the date of installation, whichever occurs first
This warranty is also with the manufacturer and is for 5 years from the date of manufacture so if it sits around
in a warehouse for 2 years you only have 3 years warranty once installed and you have no way of knowing this

Cell Quality
Solar panels can be subjected to tests that simulate aging by
exposing them to extreme conditions in the labratory. We can
then test the cells in the panels by conducting an electroilluminescence
scan. Dark patches indicate cells that are no longer functioning
which will effect the overall productions of your solar system. Dead
cells mean dead panels which means the requirement for a new system.
