was 2WS FM, which rose 1.3 points to 7.4 per cent of the mainstream audience. The biggest
loser was MIX 106.5, which dropped 1.2 points to 8.3 per cent. This will come as good news
to those who like the rock music of the 1960s, which dominates the 2WS format but is excluded
from the MIX music format. The biggest gains for 2UE were in the 25-39-year age
group, which is much loved by advertisers, the age group where MIX suffered its biggest
loss. (Sydney Morning Herald 27/9 Mike Brooker IRCA)
GIBRALTAR GIBRALTAR The GBC have started testing their new transmitter initially with only 500 watts
MALAYSIA MALAYSIA The following transmitters in Sabah are currently observed (April-May 2000). Many
are slightly below channel - in fact transmitters in Sabah have a distinct tendency to drift off
frequency, invariably downwards. Most of these join networks carried 24 hours on FM, jumping
straight in and out of the programming at sign-on and sign-off times with no special formalities
or IDs.
