These activities are PERMITTED in easements provided<br />

<strong>TransGrid</strong>’s structures remain accessible at all times.<br />

No obstructions are to be placed within 15m of a structure or<br />

their supporting ropes, wires or chains.<br />

If in any doubt about the safety of any activity, please contact<br />

<strong>TransGrid</strong> directly.<br />

The following activities MAY BE PERMITTED within<br />

easements, subject to prior written approval from <strong>TransGrid</strong>.<br />

Advice should always be sought from <strong>TransGrid</strong> in instances<br />

when transmission line conductors (wires) are higher above<br />

the ground than usual, such as over gullies or gorges.<br />

Some activities are NOT PERMITTED in an easement for the<br />

safety of both the community and operation of the transmission<br />

lines. Here is a list of examples of these activities:<br />

Note: It is extremely important to keep trees, machinery and other<br />

structures well away from transmission lines, as they can sag in extreme<br />

weather conditions.
