Our goal is to support all of our residents to be
successful in and out of the classroom. Therefore, we
take every opportunity to provide support throughout
your entire university experience. That means 24-hour
assistance for our residents and convenient access to
health and safety resources right here on campus.
SUPPORTING YOU
Resident assistants (RAs) are upperclass students who
serve as resources and role models to all residents.
RAs work to create a residential environment that is
conducive to academic, personal, and social growth,
which promotes student success.
EMPLOYMENT AND LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Living on campus provides convenient access to leadership
and student employment opportunities. With hundreds of
clubs and organizations dedicated to academic, professional,
cultural, recreational, social, and special interests, it is easy to
find friends who share your passions. For more information,

As an on-campus resident you also have unique opportunities
to engage as a leader in your community. Residents are
encouraged to play an active role in their community/hall
council, serve on the Residence Hall Advisory Board, work

SAFETY FIRST
The UTA Police Department (UTAPD) monitors and
protects the campus with a combination of police
officers and public safety officers. UTAPD police officers
are licensed peace officers and have the same authority
as other municipal, county, and state police officers. The
department also assists in providing security escorts.

FAMILY MATTERS
The Parent & Family Center is available to help students’
relatives learn more about campus resources. The office
serves as a first point of contact and refers parents and
family to the appropriate office when needed. Find more
information at uta.edu/parents. If you prefer, the parent

HEALTH MATTERS
UTA Health Services provides medical, mental health,
and pharmacy services for the campus community.
Health insurance is not required for students to receive
treatment, and a portion of each student’s tuition covers
unlimited visits to general medical clinic providers,
blood pressure checks, and nursing care. Learn more at

HOW TO PAY
Residence halls are leased by bed space, so each resident in a room or suite will have his or
her own contract. Apartments have one leaseholder per unit, with the exception of Centennial
Court, The Lofts, The Heights on Pecan, and Timber Brook. At those communities, apartments
are leased per bed or per bedroom. Rent and installment payments will post to your MyMav
account. Need help paying for college? The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is equipped
to provide you with useful information about financial aid programs and the process to apply for
and receive funding.
