Social Responsibility Council
The SRC’s first drive since the
nomination of the new Committee was
a clothes drive which they ran in May.
They managed to collect enough
clothes to fill two vehicles and
donated this to the MES Home in
Johannesburg. This home helps its
inhabitants by exposing them to
structured programmes and the
providing them with an exit
opportunity to help them become
sustainable citizens.
The SRC made a donation towards Action for Blind and Disabled Children
Organisation in June in commemoration of Youth Day.
The funds went towards paying to help three youths complete a
Microsoft Certified examination.
For more information about this organisation visit www.action4.org.za
The SRC donated their time on the 18th July 2017 at the Jerusalem
Children’s Home in Midrand, along with much needed groceries.
Axiz staff pitched in with clothing and food, making this yet another
successful drive. The smiles on the children’s faces speak to their
gratitude.

Wellbeing
The Wellbeing Committee sent out a
mailer to raise awareness for the
SANCA Drug Awareness Week which
ran from 24 – 28 June 2017, as well as
to raise awareness for the
International Day against Drug Abuse
and Illicit Drug Trafficking on the 26th
June 2017. They shared the alcohol
and drug abuse policy and tested
employees’ knowledge about the
dangers of drug abuse.
played for the bronze medal on Monday, 3 July, but unfortunately lost
the battle 27-22.
Cricket
After an unsuccessful season at Sandton, complicated by unrealistic
game times for a corporate team, the team has moved back to Midrand
and played their first game on Wednesday 28 June. Axiz beat Team
AMG by 118 runs to 80. The team also won their 2nd game by 1 run and
the player of the match was Gerhard Johnsen who picked up 6
wickets! Congratulations to the team and well played Gerhard!
