The aggregate amounts in 2016 are unchanged from last year; however the categories have been
revised in order to reflect the new 2016-2021 strategy and the review of underlying cost classification.
Sports development costs support the delivery of our award programmes as well as promoting the
development of sport to create increased sporting opportunities in local communities.
Costs are shown net of costs apportioned to the Sport England Lottery Fund. Note 9 details the gross
costs and the recharge to the Lottery accounts.
