DROP-IN PROGRAMS
ADULT COLORING
BOOK TIME
Coloring is the new trend in relaxing.
Bring an adult coloring book and your
colors and join the group for fun and
conversation. Coloring time takes
place every Thursday at 1 pm.
CRAFT GROUP
Join our weekly craft group every
Tuesday from 1-4 pm to sew, make
cards, jewelry, and other crafts.
Everyone is welcome. We’ll show
you how to do it!
DOMINOES
Everyone is welcome to play
Dominoes with us on Wednesday’s
after lunch at 1 pm. We’ll give a
refresher and have tons of fun!
G.I. COFFEE HOUR
Stop by the Senior Center every
Friday at 9:30 am and catch up with
other veterans. Don’t be surprised
if you stay more than an hour, this
program is all about sharing.

ANGEL PROGRAM
More than 1,000 seniors are served by
CVPRD each year. Educational classes,
excursions and lunch programs are
just a few of the many programs
offered by the District. Unfortunately,
not everyone can afford to take
advantage of these offerings. The
Angel Program allows generous
members of the community to
donate to those in need. Examples
of Angel gifts include sponsoring a
senior membership, funding a senior
trip, and more. If you would like to
be an Angel or are in need of an
Angel, call 303-833-3660 x 117. The
Angel Program is confidential.
BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS
Keep up on your heart stats.
Emergency Medical Technicians
(EMTs) are available to check your
blood pressure at the Senior Center
the third Wednesday of the month
at 11:45 am.
LOAN CLOSET
Participants age 60 and over and
caregivers of persons age 60 and over
are welcome to check out equipment
from the Active Adult/Senior Center
Loan Closet for personal use at home
for up to two months. Equipment
includes canes, wheelchairs, walkers,
crutches, and shower benches. All
donations are welcome.
VNA MEDICAL FOOT
CARE CLINIC
Operated by the Visiting Nurses
Association (VNA), services include
foot care, health checks, and blood
pressure checks. Fee for foot care is
$35 ($45 for first visit of new patients)
payable at time of appointment.
Foot care is covered by Kaiser with
pre-approval. Call 303-833-2739 for
an appointment the 3rd Monday of
every month.
LUNCH WITH A LIBRARIAN
Librarians from the High Plains
Library District visit the Active Adult/
Senior Center the third Wednesday of
the month at 11 am to issue library
cards, check out books and DVDs,
and answer questions.

WELD COUNTY NUTRITION
LUNCH PROGRAM
Weld County’s Senior Nutrition
Program provides nutritious and
delicious meals for seniors every
Tuesday and Thursday from
noon - 1 pm at the Carbon Valley
Recreation Center. The program’s
meal strives to meet 33 1/3 percent
of the daily recommended dietary
allowance. For more information

Registration: 11 am the day before

Suggested donation of $4. Fee of
$12 for 59 and younger.
WEDNESDAY LUNCHES
Join us at the Active Adult/Senior
Center every Wednesday from
noon - 1 pm for a delicious catered
lunch from various restaurants. The
menu is posted at www.cvprd.com
and at the Active Adult/Senior
Center. Enjoy visiting with other
participants and stay to play games
afterwards. Registration is required
by 11 am the day before the lunch.
Fee: $7 SCM, $8 D, $10 ND
