MESSAGE FROM THE
CONVENER
Dear Co-Creator of A Better World,
Today, we seem to live in a world that fixates more on crisis and less on
solutions. We will have to admit that the old paradigm for social and
economic systems is collapsing, and with this collapse, our world is
presenting us with one of the greatest opportunities to lend our voices
to tangible solutions.
In seamless tandem, we will also have to admit that the most potent response to contemporary challenges faced by
corporations, organizations and governments will, of necessity, lie in effective and stronger networks of collaboration, as
this will provide the great opportunity for us to co-create a better world, especially for the more disadvantaged women
and children, with the ultimate aim of having a more peaceful world.
Join me, for a moment, in envisioning a global, open, collaborative forum that will bring together leading edge tools, and
their operating stakeholders, in crafting a new paradigm of sustainable development on the issues of women
empowerment. This is the conceptual basis of The Global Summit On Women Empowerment. The Summit aims to
catalyze an emergent partnership of citizens, businesses, organizations and governments, working together around the
world, all year round, to consolidate on the nascent gains achieved so far by United Nations Millennium Development
Goal 3. It is our sincere hope that, with the inauguration, this year, of this Global Summit, it will continue to serve as a
magnet to attract concerted and committed effort on the part of all concerned for the continued social emancipation,
economic development and general well-being of women all over the world.
We will be devoting a couple of working days, and an exciting evening, to catalyze our collaboration on a global scale,
and together co-compress, co-clarify, and co-commit on issues of women empowerment.
For our male gendered populace, you may be asking, is this Summit all about, or exclusively for, women?
Our answer will be quite simple. This Summit is all about all of us. We simply acknowledge the need for a review and
transformation of our global culture as a necessary imperative in achieving sustainability of enlightened partnership and
synergistic collaboration between our genders for the accomplishment of integrated health and sustainability in every
home, village, corporation and Nation.
We will be asking certain questions:
• Is gender equity a preoccupation of our time?
• How are empowered women impacting on society, on our economies and on our governance?
• How can we empower more women, and what significant impact will that have on our world?
• What significant leverage points for effectual change are at our disposal?
• What is the vital role of Men in this global enterprise?
• What can we co-create?
In conclusion, it is in humble recognition of your role as a game changer for positive evolution, and in your inescapable
role as a stakeholder in a world in rapid flux, that I express my profound pleasure in inviting you to participate in the
First Global Summit On Women Empowerment, that will hold in New York City, NY from April 29th to 30th 2016, as over
300 extraordinary opinion and thought leaders gather together at the same time to celebrate extraordinary women.
