Welcome to Bright Kids
You are faced with one of the most difficult decisions of parenthood when
choosing who should care for your child. By choosing Bright Kids, with our 18 year

Welcome to Bright Kids. We nurture and
care for children from 6 weeks to 12
years in our homely environments and
dedicated out of school clubs. In our
care children will grow and develop
through exploration, discovery and social
interaction, whilst remaining safe and
secure and more importantly being happy.
Education and care is provided by our
graduate-led, fully trained and qualified
team members. With over 95% of our
team qualified you are assured of a
professional, quality experience for your
child. We will stretch their imaginations
whilst looking after their individual needs.
Located in Crabbs Cross, Redditch;
Studley, Warwickshire and Northfield
in South Birmingham we have
settings ideally based close to you
and on easily accessible routes.

Learning takes place all day and everyday
and children ‘work hard’ in their play. Every
day is different for your child and older
children will come home chattering about
the days events. We often take trips out to
the local community or further afield using
our minibuses. For school children outings
during the holidays are regular events.
A Day in the Life of...
Lunch is served from 12:00pm and children
can have a freshly prepared Hot or Cold
Lunch prepared and delivered daily from
our caterers.
On arrival children are greeted
by their carers and can enjoy a period
of free play with others. Breakfast is
available to all children until 8:30am.
Children move into their own groups and
spend their day with their key person
and main carers.
Outside play, giving opportunities for plenty
of fresh air, is an essential part of daily
life at Bright Kids, and happens all year
round with our fully accessible outdoor
classrooms. You’ll be asked to provide sun
cream, sun hats alongside wellies, gloves,
a warm coat and even waterproofs. Our
outside spaces are filled with adventurous
zones offering sensory experiences,
planting and growing, climbing and quiet
relaxing areas.

Snacks and refreshments such as milk,
or juice from home are available to
children during the morning and the
afternoon, to suit their own routines, or as
a ‘cafe-style’ service for older children.
Water is available to children at all times.
At home time a member of the team will
bring you up to date with your child’s day.
We are moving over to electronic diaries
and you will also be able to keep in touch
with your child’s day this way.

Bright Kids believe
Children learn best when learning through play. Your child will be accessing
the very best quality play environment to maximise their full learning potential.
Balanced learning provides children
with both structure and free choice.
We encourage learning in everyday life
to take place. Using the national early
years framework and Bright Kids own
specialised curriculum we give your child
opportunities to explore our fascinating
world in a safe and secure way.
Your child is happiest when playing with
their peers. Children will spend their day
in small groups with children their own
age, allowing them to grow, develop and
communicate through interaction with
their peers, their key person and others
within the team. Each child develops in
their own unique way and at their
own pace and at Bright Kids we fully
support children in this way.
Bright Kids has a distinct reputation
for being friendly and well-loved by
our families, many of whom have
returned with their second and third
children. With our out of school
facilities taking children to 12 years
we often welcome families for more
than a generation. We are proud to
watch our children and families
grow from babyhood onto
secondary school and this is one of
our unique features.

Nursery Education Funding starts at 2 yrs for some
children and at 3 yrs for all children. We are part of the
HMRC Tax Free Childcare Scheme and recommend
you check you eligibility for this and other
entitlements such as 30 hours funded childcare
via www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
