Italian design traditions meet everyday<br />
functionality with the ERAT collection<br />
designed by Alberto Bellamoli.<br />
Alberto has his roots in Grezzana, a<br />
small village in Northern Italy, where<br />
terrazzo has been produced for<br />
centuries by local artisans. Locally<br />
referred to as ‘the poor man’s marble’,<br />
terrazzo is a composite material<br />
made of scraps of marble, pigment,<br />
and marble dust cemented together.<br />
The stones used in the collection<br />
have been handpicked by Alberto.<br />
With the ERAT collection, terrazzo is<br />
taken out of its traditional form and<br />
reinvented for everyday use.<br />
