Financial Controller LATAM<br />
Carlos has worked for the company for 9<br />
years and has held different positions<br />
throughout his tenure.<br />
In May 2014, he was appointed to his<br />
current role as Financial Controller for<br />
Spanish LATAM.<br />
Within his role, he is responsible for the following<br />
areas across the region, Accounting, Treasury &<br />
Reporting Area, Revenue Assurance & Billing Area,<br />
Account Receivables, Treasury, Taxes, and<br />
Personal Admin (Payroll).<br />
His key accountability is to support a healthy<br />
business growth by assuring controls and<br />
procedures from a finance and operational<br />
perspective.<br />
He joined the company in April 2008 and during<br />
4.5 years, was appointed as a Financial Planning<br />
VP for the Credit Services Business Unit. When<br />
Experian acquired Computec in 2011, he was<br />
appointed as Head of Operations. He was<br />
responsible for Service and Delivery for 1.5 years.<br />
Prior to the Experian acquisition, he was involved<br />
in the geographic expansion of the company<br />
through several due diligence activities across<br />
the region.<br />
He was part of the team involved in a divestment<br />
in Ecuador, and a green-field project in Peru<br />
(actually Experian Perú). When Experian<br />
performed due diligence, he was part of the<br />
engagement team and after the acquisition was<br />
appointed Head of Operations, having under his<br />
responsibility 40% of the company FTE.<br />
Prior to working for Experian, he worked for<br />
Citibank for three years as a Credit Officer, then<br />
worked in the Telco sector for 8 years and also<br />
worked at an Inden Operator and a PCS Operator.<br />
His position prior to joining Experian Computec<br />
was Revenue Assurance & Antifraud VP at a PCS<br />
Operator in Columbia.<br />
Carlos is very passionate about academic<br />
development. He is a business administrator, has<br />
a post-graduate in Corporate Finance and<br />
Strategic Marketing and an Executive MBA from<br />
Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.<br />
Over the last 12 years, Carlos has also taught<br />
Financial Modeling courses at the University<br />
at an undergraduate and post-graduate level.<br />
Carlos is married and a proud father of four<br />
children, twins Andres and Mariana (12 years<br />
old), Carlos Jr. (3 years old), and baby Nicolas<br />
(16 months).<br />
In his free time, he enjoys music, has studied<br />
to be a professional magician, and plays<br />
soccer.
