ACCOUNTING AND BUSINESS (CFAB)<br />

A good understanding of business, finance and accounting is highly valued in any role, in<br />

any organisation in the world. The ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business<br />

(ICAEW CFAB) provides you with the essential business skills <strong>to</strong> succeed in your career.<br />

ICAEW CFAB – fast facts<br />

Getting started: no formal academic entry<br />

requirements needed, although a good<br />

understanding of English and Maths is useful.<br />

What you’ll learn: essential knowledge in<br />

finance, accounting and business.<br />

Study: study options include online, classroom<br />

tuition, self-study and more. You decide what<br />

works best for you and your lifestyle.<br />

Duration: ICAEW CFAB can be gained in one<br />

year – but you can work at your own pace.<br />

Exams: six computer-based exams which you<br />

can take in any order and at any time.<br />

Exam credit: credit is available for five out of six<br />

modules if you are studying for a degree that has<br />

components of finance, accounting or business.<br />

Proof of achievement: once you’ve passed all<br />

the exams, you’ll get an internationally-recognised<br />

qualification from ICAEW <strong>to</strong> prove your<br />

achievement and knowledge.<br />

You get a certificate for each module you<br />

sit/pass – so you can still showcase what<br />

you’ve learned even if you don’t complete the<br />

full qualification.<br />

Cost: depending on the study method, it can<br />

cost less than £800 (all included, eg. exams,<br />

registration and learning material). As a<br />

student you can sign up for the ICAEW Student<br />

Scheme, and get a discounted price on your<br />

ICAEW CFAB registration<br />
