Canada Research Farm (started in 1916 by farmer William Albright) is now the<br />

Canadian Centre for the management and production of bees and honey<br />

(apiculture). It is also the most northerly agricultural research station in North<br />

America and is open to the public for tours. Appointments only phone<br />

780-354-2212.<br />

Saskatoon Mountain Natural Area, north at Huallen, accessed off Highway 43, offers<br />

one of the most spectacular views of the south and the west portions of the County.<br />

Visitors can explore over 2200 acres for bird watching, hiking, picnicking, and cross<br />

country skiing.<br />

To view the Elmworth gas basin area, turn right onto Secondary Highway 722, south<br />

from Beaverlodge and then Highway 667 to take in some spectacular views of the<br />

Rocky Mountains. At Red Willow River crossing be sure to visit the lovely Red Willow<br />

Market Gardens with its excellent produce, local crafts sales and tea room. Nearby<br />

Red Willow Park is a day-use picnic site with washrooms and kitchen shelter.<br />
