Stevie Ray Vaughan <strong>–</strong> Couldn’t Stand the Weather<br />

This was a limited editi<strong>on</strong>, 1984 release <strong>on</strong> the Epic Records label. Vaughan’s sec<strong>on</strong>d studio<br />

album, John Hamm<strong>on</strong>d was the executive producer, and Jimmie Vaughan appears <strong>on</strong> two<br />

tracks. The first track, “Tin Pan Alley,” was d<strong>on</strong>e in <strong>on</strong>e take. The picture disc was withdrawn<br />

by the label, making it particularly rare today.<br />

Joe B<strong>on</strong>amassa <strong>–</strong> The Ballad of John Henry<br />

Originally released in early 2009, this is B<strong>on</strong>amassa’s 7th studio album. It received rave<br />

reviews, climbing to #1 <strong>on</strong> the Billboard <str<strong>on</strong>g>Blues</str<strong>on</strong>g> Charts. A combinati<strong>on</strong> of original s<strong>on</strong>gs, and<br />

covers by artists such as Ike and Tina Turner, Sam Brown, and T<strong>on</strong>y Joe White, the picture<br />

disc is actually an import, released in 2014. Still a very popular record, the picture disc<br />

versi<strong>on</strong> is available through most record outlets.<br />
