LT-, ETL-, LAT- and VTX- 

The Versalift Light Range is aerial access 

platforms mounted on compact, lightweight 

chassis and pickups with a Gross 

Vehicle Weight (GVW) rating of no more 

than 3.5 tonne making the units accessible 

to users with a regular class B driver’s 

license and therefore also an ideal option 

for rental. 

Working heights of the chassis mounted 

Light Range vary from 9 – 24 m. Cage 

capacities of up to 230 kg are available for 

the ETL series, 220 for the VTX and 230 kg 

for LAT units. 

TIME Smartbox tool cabinets are available 

for the pickup mounted ETL models. 

Medium Range 

ETM- 

The Versalift Medium Range has some of 

the accessibility and reduced weight of the 

Light Range - and some of the superior 

and advanced electro-hydraulic control 

systems of the larger HD Range. Some 

models are available on 3.5 tonne GVW 

panel vans. 


Medium Range vary from 12 – 14 m 

depending on the vehicle with a cage 

capacity of up to 265 kg. Two control 

systems are available for the ETM series; 

the LMC and the FPC control system. 

For the chassis mounted ETM, the TIME 

Smartbox toolbox system is available. 

HD Range 

VT/VDT- 

The Versalift HD (Heavy Duty) Range is top 

of the line aerial access platforms designed 

in close collaboration with end users – and 

fulfilling their various needs has been a 

guiding design principle in the development 

phase. The HD range has been on the 

market since 2010 and has been a popular 

model ever since. 


HD Range vary from 14 – 25 m depending 

on the vehicle with a cage capacity of up 

to 265 kg. The advanced electro-hydraulic 

FPC control system is standard on all HD 

range models. 

TIME Smartbox tool cabinets and workshop 

modules are available for the VT and 

VDT.

TIME Quick Shift 

The TIME Quick Shift system lets a pickup 

truck switch out an aerial access platform 

with another piece of equipment. 

The system will enable you to keep one 

vehicle on the road throughout the seasons 

performing the actions that are in demand 

- rather than having several collecting dust 

in a warehouse. 

With a GVW of no more than 3.5 tonne, the 

system is accessible to operators with a 

class B driver’s licence. 

Quick equipment shifting 

All pieces of compatible equipment are 

mounted onto a TIME Quick Shift frame 

and connected to the cargo bay of the 

pickup. Using a light overhead crane or a 

forklift truck, changing equipment is effortless 

taking no more than 15 minutes. 

Aerial access platforms 

The standard equipment for the TIME 

Quick Shift system is an aerial access 

platform. 

Two models are available providing safe 

access to up to 11 metres of working 

height with an outreach of up to 5.1 metres. 

The units have no outriggers but instead 

rely on the patented, hydraulic Axle locking 

system for stability and fast setup. The 

cage capacity is 120 or 200 kg.

Premium cabinet concept 

TIME Smartbox is a revolutionary new 

tool cabinet system introduced by TIME in 

2009. It is a toolbox system with a 25 mm 

thick inner layer of foam covered by outer 

layers of fiberglass on both sides. Benefits 

of the TIME Smartbox system include: 

No condensation 

The strong yet lightweight sandwich construction 

with foam covered in fiberglass 

insulates tools and cargo and keeps the 

box clear of condensation. 

Built to last 

The fiberglass/foam combination is a far 

superior alternative to traditional toolbox 

materials (steel, wood, aluminium etc). 

TIME Smartbox is built to withstand harsh 

conditions, rough weather and continuous 

use every day for years to come. 

Tailormade solution 

The design is flexible allowing room for 

custom solutions with tool cabinets made 

to measure - from a box on a compact 

pickup truck to a workshop module on a 

large truck. 

Vertical doors 

The cabinet doors open vertically and does

system for all racking and shelving inside

Chassis mounted Versalift aerial access 

platforms are available with three different 

electrohydraulic control systems: 

• RLC (Relay Lefthand Controls) 

• LMC (Load Moment Controls) 

• FPC (Full Proportional CANbus controls) 

Outreach systems 

With RLC controls, the max outreach is 

fixed regardless of the actual cage load. 

LMC controls provide variable outreach 

based on the pressure in the boom 

cylinder (inner boom length and the cage 

load). For FPC controls, a variable load 

sensing outreach system is available using 

a load cell. 

Stow systems 

LMC controls offer a stow packing 

programme where the platform rotates 

back to its center point. With FPC controls, 

the HOME function expands on this 

concept by completely packing the 

platform and the outriggers with the push 

of a button. 

Limited Work Area (LWA) 

The Limited Work Area function, available 

for LMC and FPC controls, allows operators 

to use the platform in a limited rotational 

angle behind the vehicle without any 

outriggers deployed. 

Drive option 

The drive option, exclusively available for 

LMC and FPC controls, speeds up 

repetitive tasks by allowing the driver to 

operate the vehicle at a reduced speed 

while the platform is elevated to a 

maximum height of 4 metres.

Flybooms 

Versatility, reach and better cage access 

Fixed flyboom 

A Fixed flyboom improves the access 

to the cage by bringing it down onto the 

rear platform when in transport mode. 

When the platform is raised, the flyboom 

furthermore increases the available working 

height compared with a setup entirely 

without a flyboom. 

Articulating flyboom 

An articulating flyboom has all the 

advantages of a fixed flyboom and extra 

versatility as the flyboom can move in an 

arch from its default position. 

With an articulating flyboom, you will be 

able to adjust your position without moving 

the main boom and reach otherwise 

inaccessible worksites located behind 

obstacles. 

Articulating Z style flyboom 

A Z style flyboom adds an extra joint to 

the flyboom resulting in a stowed position 

in the shape of a Z. 

With a Z style flyboom, the platform gains 

0.5-1.0 metre of extra working height 

compared with a traditional articulating 

flyboom. 

Wide selection of flybooms 

Connecting the main boom with the cage, 

a flyboom provides added versatility, extra 

working height and easy access to the 

cage when the platform is stowed.

Versalift aerial access platforms are 

low-voltage insulated, certified to standard 

VDE 0682-742 published by the DKE (the 

German Electro-technical Commission). 

They are thereby rated to sustain alternating 

currents up to 1000 V at up to 60 Hz 

and direct currents up to 1500 V. 

Two independent insulating sections 

Versalift aerial access platforms are insulated 

by two insulating sections that are 

independent of each other. 

The first insulating section insulates the 

cage from the extending structure, while 

the second insulates the extending structure 

from the vehicle. The VDE 0682-742 

requires that access platforms intended 

for use on free-hanging overhead lines and 

lines for electric railways are provided with 

an insulating section between the extending 

structure and the vehicle. The insulators 

are primarily fiberglass bushings at boom 

pivots and synthetic bricks at non-moving 

points but other parts, such as non-conductive 

hoses in the booms, also play a role. 

Fail-safe system 

The requirement of the VDE 0682-742 

for two independent insulating sections 

ensures redundancy and a high level of 

safety. Should one insulating section for 

some reason fail, the second insulating 

section will give full protection to persons 

on the platform. 

To maintain the insulating rating of an access 

platform, periodic testing is required 

at least annually and whenever maintenance 

or repair work may have undermined 

the insulating properties of the machine. 

The periodic/extraordinary testing must 

conform to VDE 0682-742.

Low transport height 

Ideal for urban environments 

Compact and versatile 

Versalift aerial access platforms are 

available for a wide range of popular 

vehicles with variable heights and lengths to 

accommodate different customer demands. 

The compact, low roof units are a popular 

choice in congested urban environments 

with height obstacles limiting the possible 

applications of larger units. 

Standard installations 

Light Range Versalift aerial access platforms 

(LT, ETL and LAT) are available on 

compact pickups with transport heights as 

low as 250 cm, while the unique VTX-240 

boasts an impressive transport height of 

less than 240 cm. 

Custom installations 

For the larger, chassis mounted units, we 

offer customized solutions with a shorter 

turret that is moved farther back onto the 

chassis (see the image above). 

Versalift flybooms are only available in 

standard lengths limiting the degree of customization 

available for low roof units. 

TIME Smartbox toolboxes are still possible 

on units with a shortened turret.

Hybrids 

The solution to strict environmental regulations 

The green choice 

Increasingly strict environmental regulations 

in major European cities impose demanding 

requirements for both emissions 

and noise levels of vehicles working in inner 

city areas. Equipping the aerial access 

platform vehicle with an electric motor is a 

straightforward response to those requirements. 

We offer various solutions for hybrid 

power packs including Lithium Ion and 

VRLA GEL battery packs available for vans, 

pickup truck and trucks in both 12 and 48 

volt configurations. 

Reduced noise and emissions 

The power pack is an environmentally 

friendly alternative to an aerial access 

platform driven solely by the diesel engine 

of the vehicle. The electric motor greatly 

reduces the noise output and eliminates all 

emissions produced by a diesel engine, as 

the diesel engine is shut down during aerial 

work. 

With the hybrid power pack, the vehicle 

is equipped with an electric motor and a 

battery package. 

Using the aerial access platform with the 

hybrid system, both the diesel engine and 

the electric motor is available as an option 

while the vehicle remains powered by the 

diesel engine. 

GEL battery package 

A GEL battery package for 

trucks provides capacity for 

one days use and recharges 

overnight. The lifespan of the 

batteries is highly dependent on 

their use pattern. 

This configuration weighs approximately 

500 kg depending 

on the specific capacity. The 

electric motor and all battery 

cells are stored in a box on the 

chassis of the truck.

Full control from the cage 

With TIME’s hydrostatic Access Drive System 

(ADS) both the vehicle and the aerial 

access platform can be operated from the 

control panel in the cage. The operator 

has full control of the vehicles steering, 

brake and drive system with ADS in full 

accordance with EN-280. A front mounted 

camera provides a clear view on a display. 

The ability to drive the vehicle from the 

cage of the elevated platform brings a valuable 

new dimension to the vehicle mounted 

aerial platform adding the benefit of a 

self-propelled unit to the existing advantages 

of a vehicle mounted platform.

at low speeds from the cage 

without the need to stow the 

platform, exit and drive the 

vehicle from the cab.

With TIME’s modern testing equipment 

and experienced staff of test engineers, 

we perform industry leading stability tests 

providing you with thoroughly and carefully 

tested lift vehicles. 

TIME’s testing facilities are state of the art, 

multi-functional and versatile. Our hydraulic 

test platform allows us to test all lift- and 

vehicle combinations on a slope up to 10° 

longitude and latitude. 

Each and every lift vehicle leaving TIME 

is tested according to a comprehensive 

testing procedure and in accordance with 

EN-280 and ANSI/SIA A 92.2 

All tests are recorded on video and saved. 

At the unique testing facilities we can test 

all kinds of lift, vehicle, outrigger and option 

combinations. 

The platform is loaded with 150% of its 

capacity and tested in the most demanding 

angles of the lift rotation area. 

After having been tested at 150% of the 

platform capacity, the aerial access platform 

is thoroughly examined. All welds, 

bearings, rotations, tubes etc. are inspected 

for any irregularities. 

When the platform has satisfied these test 

criteria it is ready to leave the TIME factory 

for safe use by our customers.

to ship in accordance with:
