WALLTEC SKINTONG 

TECHNOLOGY 

Walltec Technology manufactures standardized 

SKINTONG CSIPs that are used for load bearing 

elements in house and building constructions. 

The sandwich panels consist of a panel core, a top 

layer and a bottom layer. The panel core is made 

of a foam core, like cellular glass. The outer skin 

consists of a fiber cement board with a thickness 

of 4-6mm. 

ONE PART: HIGHLY ENERGY EFFICIENT 

The gluing principle leads to a monolithic construction, meaning that 

the building structure is “one part”, similar like structures of boats or 

aircrafts. The advantage of this design is that all construction elements 

support each other (example: an inside wall glued on the slab and ceiling, 

act as a beam between slab and ceiling). The joint concept between 

the elements also leads to a 100% air tightness of a building (disregarding 

the tightness of the doors and windows) and avoidance of any 

thermal bridges in the construction. Thus, the SKINTONG buildings are 

highly energy efficient, as insulation, air tightness and thermal conductivity 

are optimized as per design.

SKINTONG BUILDING SYSTEM 

The construction principles of SKINTONG houses differ a 

lot from any other conventional construction principles. 

The main characteristic of a SKINTONG building is that the 

complete construction is made out of CSIP elements and 

all elements are joined together by gluing. 

Nails, screws or other conventional joining elements are 

not used. Besides that, screws and clamps are only used 

for temporarily fixation during the erection process. 

Bonding process 

Another nature of the SKINTONG concept is that due to the lightweight 

structure the buildings do not need a foundation. Instead of a foundation 

the houses have a base plate also made out of CSIPs. Without 

foundation the houses are fixed with anchors into the ground, to protect 

the houses from strong winds. The roof construction of the SKINTONG 

Technology is that the roof construction with the CSIPs is much simpler 

than conventional house constructions. 

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS 

Walltec Technology manufactures pre-fabricated building elements out 

of the SKINTONG standard CSIPs. This is done in a Walltec Technology 

Prefab entity. The panels are produced in one automated process to the 

required size and shape. Cutouts for doors, windows and other installations 

are already integrated in the panel. Parts of panels can be glued 

together without visible joints. All open panel edges are closed with 

composite material. Any kind of construction element can be designed. 

Even round contours and staircases are possible to make out of CSIPs. A 

finished structure has only fibre cement material visible on the outside 

and inside.

for thermal performance through:

insulation values comply with the 

NEN-EN 13501-1 +A1:2007 norm 

and provide for every comfort.. 

BASIC ELEMENTS 

Basic SKINTONG elements for the structure of a house:

GENERAL ELEMENTS 

The pre-fabricated elements are completed in the Prefab, ready for

structure of a house are: 

erection and assembling on the construction site. On the construction 

site the prefabricated elements are erected and joined together by gluing 

with a high strength 2k bonding material. The bonding between the 

glue and glass fiber is superior. The gluing is done over the entire length 

of two adjacent elements. Thus, a strong and rigid joint between the 

elements is achieved. The bonding principle of composite laminates can 

be compared to welded metal sheets. That is why the bonding process is 

also known as “cold welding”. After assembling the structure, the Walltec 

Technology building is equipped with installations and finished like 

conventional buildings with the exception of some special principles 

(e.g. installation of water and electrical lines are already included as empty 

pipes within the panels)

STRENGTH TEST 

The wall design allows you to construct a load-bearing wall with up to 50 tons/ 

m2 for a vertical compression load and a compression load capacity of 2 tons/m2 

on the horizontal panels. Buidlings of up to 40’high and up to 35’freespan can be 

built without conventional columns, foundations, roof structure, or any traditional 

materials.

FIRE RESISTANCE TEST 

The walls were burned a 1250’C (2282 F) – nearing the meltpoint of 

structural steel. The fire did not spread beyond the area of direct flame, extinguished 

when the flame source was removed, and the structural integrity of the panels 

were not compromised. The fire test was conducted over a period of 30 minutes. 

MISSILE IMPACT TEST 

The walls sustained multiple impacts from a 6 ft. length of 2x4 traveling at 60 ft/sec. 

This test was to determine if a home will be resistant enough to withstand hurricane 

force winds and wind-borne debris. 

SEISMIC/EARTHQUAKE TEST 

The walls have a high deflection capacity of 20% before reaching their breaking 

point. A traditional built home is 5%. This home was lifted more than 3 feet off 

the ground then rocked and bounced before it was put back down with no damage 

whatsoever. The monilitic construction makes our construction principle ideal to 

withstand earthquakes.

handicraft-fair, building method according to the rules of architecture and the 

valid Walltec Quality Control regulations. 

Changes remain reserved, if new laws or construction specifications make 

these necessary. This offer is based on the given specification. The houses 

will be built with high tech Skintong composite panels. All prices are calculated 

without the corresponding VAT at the place of the factory in Lemmer/ 

NL, transport from factory door to building site, Paint and Erection at the spot.
